If you want quality, price and accuracy in an out-of-the-box AR-15 there is no better choice than a Bushmaster HB Match Grade Rifle. There are currently 17 different companies that have license or manufacturing rights on the Colt Patent design and not one can surpass the quality, workmanship and attention to detail of the Bushmaster AR's.
This is not just my personal opinion. I have been competing
in NRA Sanctioned 200,400 and 600 Yard Matches and Competitions for over 16 years now, with various AR-15's and 90% or better of all the guns you will see on the firing line are Bushmasters now. I own 3 myself and since I compete and I'm in the firearms business I have had chances to test fire most all of the current market brand AR's that are out there. I have also had many years of upgrade experience and despite all the other brands available, I find myself coming back to Bushmaster not only for complete weapon systems, but match quality parts as well. That speaks volumes as far as I am concerned, and my customers feel the same way I do....
Forget DPMS..They just plain can't hold a candle to Bushmaster despite all of their high caliber BS upgrades....

depends on a lot of stuff, i use this type of weapon professionally, i used to to own a bushmaster, which is a fine rifle. i dont know much about dpms. I use a Rock river arms A-4 with all the aftermarket goodies i pulled off my bushmaster, the RRA has a better price than most companies and i think better performance, but it is truly up to the shooter. i left ya a link to check out what all ya can get from RRA, very large selection, even .458 Socom... good luck

Bushmaster. Their rifles can fire BOTH .223 Remington as well as N.A.T.O. 5.56mm without any detrimental effects to the receiver housing nor the barrel. Plus, ALL of their barrels(except for the stainless steel) are Mil-Spec finished. And their barrels are available in just about every type of sporting, hunting and/or defensive rifling twist configuration too. I must confess that you'd be better off in the long run to get a gas piston upgrade to keep all of the excess carbon and hot gases out of your internals and you eyeballs. It also means a heck of a lot less cleaning build-up out of the receiver too. I have some M-33 carbine fore-grips for sale if you'd like a set.

Go with Colt or Bushmaster.... Colt has been making the M-16 for the Army for the longest time so their quality has been very good.... they are very sensitive when zeroing, but when you have it zeroed you can hit a point target at 300 meters.... very nice weapon.

The differences are very minor. The manufacturer's have purchased a liscence to manufacture and sell a rifle that is patented. But if your going to drop that much money on a rifle go ahead and spend a little more and buy a Colt. (that's what the Army has.) If you can't find one, go with the Smith and Wesson. (That's what the cops with no budget restrictions buy.) But if your not picky and any "black rifle" will do then buy a Armalite and use the $350.00 to $400.00 that you save and trick it out.
