We think it might be bacteria peeling off and his tongue might not be actually peeling.

I'd see a dentist. Oral cancer is always a concern with the mouth and tongue, though peeling doesn't sound like a sign of it. But better safe than sorry.

Try taking a capful of peroxide and swishing it around in his mouth for ten minutes Do this everyday If it doesn't clear it up or if it burns too much GO IMMEDIATELY to the Doctors

I used to have it. It just means that when you brush your teeth brush your tongue good, too.
