I would have to say about a 6 or 7. It hurts pretty bad and your eyes will probably tear up but it is over very quickly. I had very little pain after the piercing was over. I love my nose ring and think it was worth the pain.

I would relate it to the absolute worst time you have ever stubbed your toe. One of those times that you swore it was broken, it burned like crazy, and you had to sit down to see if you could still move it.
It hurt about that much while it was actually being pierced. A few seconds later the pain was down to a hot sensation and we did the other side.
After that they were sore for a couple of weeks and tender to being tugged or caught on things for a couple of months. They do take time to heal and you need to be diligent about cleaning them. But once they're healed theyre absolutely adorable.

Well I have 4 piercings and id say my nose hurt the worst but not that bad like a 6 maybe depending on how well you do with pain.

nose piercing is so last season...
and it hurts i guess...
my advice - don't do it...
