I was shocked to find this guy and his church on the web. He and his church are very anti gay. Anyone else heard of this group?

yes they claim to be a baptist church, though they are not affiliated with any baptist congregation. They picket funerals of fallen war veterans. They believe that God is letting our american soldiers die because we have become too tolerant of homosexuals. They are crazy.

Welcome to like 1999. They've been on the national news and protest a funeral or gays a few times a month every month for the past 10 years or so.

I think they're basically harmless. It's only a large family. They don't have a following much outside their immediate relatives.

godhatesshrimp IS NOT a Fred Phelps site. It's a parody site.

Never heard of em. but I can imagine that church is as dead as a doornail. Thats not the message they should portray as a Christian church, Jesus told us to love on another as Christ has loved the church, not that we should condem anyone for thier sins. there are a lot of false teachings in the world today but of them all one of the worst is telling people they need to change what they do, change thier lifestyle, clean up thier act, then they can come to Jesus and salvation. THATS NOT THE TRUTH!! The truth is we cant change what we are WITHOUT Jesus, yeah we can do little things but before a homosexual/liar/thief/adulterer , etc. etc. can ever get free from those sinful lifestyles they must FIRST come to Christ and allow HIM to fix those things in thier life.

I would rather have 5 of those people who are lost and need to hear the Gospel of Jesus Christ than a congregation full of better than thou sourpuss snobs that think they do no wrong....... We all need Jesus folks, none of us are any better than anyone else.

They're crazy as h***. The father of a young man who died in Iraq has won a law suit against them for protesting at the funeral of his son. The jury awarded him millions because these nut jobs came to the funeral waving their signs and "protesting." Ruined what should have been a comforting memory of honoring his son. They have done this all around the country. They are harmful when they go to a young man or woman's funeral and cause their relatives more pain through their actions. They are harmful to their children because they are teaching them hate and intolerance.

he's addicted to his indignant ideals. he's caught in a cycle of hate and anger and he has trapped his family individuals with him. He has no new understandings of the international or new suggestions approximately existence. He makes wild accusations and can furnish no data that God has chosen his family individuals to be the genuine human beings of god and hate anybody else. He lives an atypical, cult like existence. i've got seen this documentary as properly.

Yes, I've heard of them, unfortunately. From what I understand he has a small following. He is a disgrace to Christianity, and only represents himself and his small following. I hope people won't see him and think that all Christians are that way, which clearly they are not.

Yes. I do not disagree with them on the immorality of homosexuality, but to be vulgar and grievous toward them is just as bad.
