How did it come to be in our country(U.S.)?

Religious freedom is important because God gave us all free will. We should be free to make our own choices in many areas of our lives, as long as no one gets hurt and the Bible isn' compromised. Muslim countries are a very good example of who don't religious freedom. If you convert to Christianity or anything outside of Islam it's illegal. It's punishable by death.

It is important because it separates church and state

Freedom to worship is very important

In Cuba a strong religous faith can keep you out of a job or a house, itcan even get you a jail sentence.
