Started with fever for 1 week and now the only symptom is feeling a bit rud down all the time.Blood work showed slighty elevated lyphyocytes, ferrtin and liver enzym. 3 doctors including specialist say it is something viral. Did many viral test, mono, cbv, hep etc all negative. Just wodering do viral infections last this long. And if so should I be asking for antiviral meds or is there further tests I should ask for. Dr. says to wait 3 months but this is hard to do.

Last year I was sick with a viral infection for 3 months. It finally worked itself out. So yes, they take time especially in today's world where bugs come from all parts of the world with the way people travel and of course global warming which brings bugs closer to you than before because of temperature. Super bugs as they call them today. Staph infections on the rise. Have to ride it out. It's not bacterial so meds. won't help.
