Yes.

Particularly if he is suffering from a terminal condition, an individual among Jehovah's Witnesses might consider whether or not to formalize his decision regarding "extraordinary measures" or even artificial life support.

Sports as in football, baseball? That's up to each Witness. We just avoid cultivating the "spirit of the world" when it comes to competitiveness .

If you mean "life support"- then that too is up to each Witness. We outright refuse blood transfusions and blood products. But we are free to decide if we'd accept dyalisis (sp) or breathing machines etc.

**Edit
lol don't know why I read "live sports". Maybe I should go to bed now :D

Well, if you mean "life" support, then that would be up to the individual and/or their family; just like anyone else. There is nothing that I know of that says we can't or shouldn't go on (or keep a family member on) life support should an unfortunate medical situation arise. If there's hope for recovery, then why not? We abstain from blood for biblical reasons.

They believe in any medical treatment that does not bring them into conscience discomfort with the Bible’s principle of abstaining from blood.
Quote from site,
“Jehovah's Witnesses avoid making rules and regulations beyond those provided in the Scriptures and they do not follow traditions that contradict Bible teachings. Emphasis is placed on personal application of Bible principles and the value of a sound, Bible-based conscience.”
Like any religion the Witnesses are plagued my Media stereo-types that often focus on extremism that normal every day Witnesses should be disturbed by.
Please as with checking out any religion’s teachings get the answers straight from the source.

Live support for what?

As long as no blood is withdrawn and nothing foreign to the body is added. i.e. no pain killers, no transfusions or transplants.

Really, it is just as idiotic as belief in a power higher than your own... if it was there, then why wouldn't it exert its self.
