I'm 5'8 and 138 lbs and I look thin and fine in my opinion. I don't have too many bones sticking out.

Sounds right to me. Tell your mom to take it somewhere else.

Even better, get your doctor to agree with you and put it in writing.

If you have bones sticking out you do need to gain some weight. Are you eating right? Are you eating at least lunch and supper? You don't have to over eat just eat three meals a day. The world is to focused on being thin, it should be being healthy

That sounds fine to me. Especially if you are working out. You should try to hold yourself between 138 and about 143.

Moms alaways want their kids 2 b perfect... but whats right 2 us is not always right 2 our parents, and if u feel that ur body looks fine then tell her that, or just ignore what she says. Somedays we just have 2 do what we want and thats what makes us independent.

Nobody ever loves you like your Mom.

Check out the BMI index and see where you fall. Are you average, under, over? Discuss this with your mom.

You didn't tell me your age. If you're in the fast-growing stage, you need extra calories. Period. Hopefully nutritious calories.

I think you are fine. Just make sure you always eat a variety of foods, drink a lot of water and get in the habit of exercising, whatever it may be, walk, ride a bike, whatever you would enjoy.
