An idea is a thought, belief or expectation about self and world. The three types of ideas are truth, lie and myth. Lie contradicts truth. Myth compliments truth. I use truth and myth to build a model of self and world. I use my model of self and world to orient myself towards existence and explain existence to myself. I base knowledge of truth on scientifically reproducible discovery. I base imagination of myth on the mystery of existence. I base ignorance of lies on contradiction of truth. I use scientifically reproducible discovery of truth to produce the most powerful physiological responses of good health possible. I use mysterious imagination of myth to produce the most powerful emotional responses of joy, faith and love imaginable. I leave lies to my critics to point out to me so that I may change my model of self and world for the better. I converge upon a model of self and world made up of truth and myth that best satisfies my need and aspiration to achieve and maintain happiness and good health.
An ideology is a body of ideas reflecting the needs and aspirations of an individual, group, class and or culture. An ideologue is an authority on an ideology. I am an ideologue. I combine ideas to form a model of self and world. I build a model of self and world to explain existence to self and orient self towards existence. I become an authority on my own ideology; my own combination of ideas reflecting the needs and aspirations of my own culture, class, group and or self. Ideology fashions reality. Reality is all experiences of self that determine how things appear to be. Actuality is the way things are. Some think, believe and expect that only their way of ornamenting a model of self and world with myth is actually true and all other ways are false to a lesser or greater degree. I acknowledge that there are an infinite number, diversity and variety of valid possible myths and fantasies based on mystery that could be used to ornament a model of self and world without contradicting finite truth and knowledge based on scientifically reproducible discovery. I fashion reality from my own ideology. I converge upon an ideology that enables me to use ideas that are both possible and imaginable to build a model of self and world that best produces happiness and good health.
It is a lie to claim as some conservative ideological authorities do that myth is truth. An affirmation of an ability to know about the existence of a good one in Heaven at war with an evil one cast down to and ruling over Earth is a fraud that follows from the lie that myth is truth. Some conservative ideological authorities perpetrate this fraud in order to be able; to make threats against the life and or afterlife of anybody who does not submit to their authority; and to extort tithes and offerings from communities of faithful believers in exchange for a lifelong indoctrination in a standard of conduct that these same ideological authorities proclaim to be based on the discovery of the truth about the will of a good one in Heaven at war with an evil one cast down to and ruling over Earth. Based on the lie that myth is truth some lead communities faithful believers to behave like racist, heterofascist, warmongers.
Based on the truth that myth is myth, I challenge religious leaders who repeat the lie that myth is truth until their fraud and extortion operations become profitable. Based on the truth that myth is myth, I lead us to have highest esteem of self and world the we can possibly imagine. Based on the truth that myth is myth, I lead us to believe that there is an abundance of time to live made possible by an infinite series of lives to be lived by our divine eternal souls. Based on the truth that myth is myth, I lead us to believe abundance is freely given to us by Father Love, an infinite body of large universes of the correct kind to support living infernal fractal entities and Mother God an infinity, divinity, eternally, one. Based on the truth that myth is myth, I lead communities of faithful believers to behave like friendly, homotolerant, peace makers.

I don’t know why anybody has to be so critical on wether or not anybody believes in god. I have my doubts and my proofs that make more since to me when I think about them rather than voice them. The religion I follow is not a widly know or praised religion exactly and I hate that the way I believe is wrong and people that have the same beliefs I do or different from Christian beliefs are prosecuted or shunned. If the religion harms no-one why should anyone care what you believe or not? I hate it when people are so into their religion they forget that people have the right to believe what the want and they are hurting their fellow man. I don’t really care if you follow any particular religion or that you don’t believe in God. If anyone believes that I am wrong because of what I believe or that I sin in my ways then fine to hell I come. It seems to me more people worry about what happens after death that some feel thay better believe or pay for it for the rest of internity. Personally I think all Gods are one God and I actually believe more in Good vs. Evil than any “true” God.

I believe in the capacity of human imagination to free ourselves from our own worst enemy-- our fears. I believe in the power of rational thinking to tease out the truth of the universe, instead of relying on antiquated fables. I believe that humans can learn the truth through scientific investigation rather than any revealed inspiration that is offered as truth. I believe that it is possible to move beyond the confused and contradictory myths of the major religions and towards a humanist appreciation of our potential to improve our lives here and now, instead of the folly of trying to enter an imaginary hereafter.
You can probably guess I'm an atheist. ;-)

Its not a matter of religion, its a matter of what you believe in. Many people ask that question each day. Personally i believe that god sacrificed his son Jesus, so that we can have the blessing of salvation. Salvation comes from believing that God forgives us. That no matter what we have done in the past, if we repent and ask his forgiveness then we shall be forgiven, but we must believe that he is able to do this for us.
I believe in the Sun
Even when its not shining
I believe in Love
Even when I don't feel like it
I believe in God

I believe in reincarnation, meditation, mind-body exercises, healthy food, not over indulging, my new astrology system, and a God that wants us to contribute to solving the very serious problems of this world, and not being distracted by thinking that any alternative type eternal reality will appear after you die. This one we are in, is the reality that counts, and we keep coming back to this type of reality over and over and over. I want this world to be better, amd I know it can happen with the right focus. I don't like escapism..

I'm an agnostic theist, I believe in God but not religion.
No one has a direct line to God that enables them to form a religion detailing how we should each individually live our lives down to how we should speak and what we should wear, and if they do, why shouldn't I as well?

I believe the Bible to be the infallible Word of God. Jesus Christ was God manifest in the flesh, baptism in Jesus name(specifically) as part of salvation(see Acts 2:38), gifts of the spirit, divine healing, holiness living, distinction of male/female in appearance, no make-up/jewelry(except wedding bands/watches),sanctity of marraige,no marriage w/ unbeliever, no divorce unless aduktery(on their part) or abandonment, no abortion, nor television, movie theaters, mixed swimming(like public),we believe in tithing, singing praises to God, clapping, dancing, shouting, instrumental music, we believe their will be a final resurrection of the righteous/wicked. We'll all be judged according to our words/deeds. We then will reside in Heaven w/ God or Hell w. satan forever. That was long but still a short sermon. HA!HA! I'm part of the United Pentecostal Church International. For more info. see upc.org or upc.net. Also, see Acts 2:38 for the plan of salvation. God Bless!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I believe in the word of god. I don't consider myself to be religous by any means, especially since all they seem to do is confuse and divide people. I believe in the Lord and his word.

I believe in myself. Plain and simple. I believe that I am the god of my own universe and am responsibe for everything that occurs within it. Good, bad, etc is all my responsibility. This way, everything that I do is experienced completely.
Edit: Why the hell do you 'have to' believe in god?
