i love my cat to death but she is quite annoying sometimes
she will catch mice and if i am awake she wont kill it she will bring it near me and play with it i don't mind that to much but it annoys me even more when she wakes me up at 3 am in the morning with a mouse in her mouth dangling above my face
she constantly leaves dead mice for me i was told its a gift because she loves me but is there a way to make her stop its kinda gross :/

praise your kitty. she is saving you an extermination bill.
it is really gross, but after she gets all the mice, then she won't bring you any more, - then for her reward you can buy her some fake mice to play with.

Put a litter box in your room and keep the cat in your room at night. She will love your company, you won't need to put on the electric blanket, the local wildlife will be safer and she won't be at risk from cat fights at night. This of course assumes that the mice are not actually in your room but are being brought in from outside.
Maybe you could train her to shop and get her a credit card then she might bring you chocolates instead of mice. Welllll my cat has a fly buys card!!!!!!!!

She loves you and is proudly bringing you her catch. Or, she may be telling you that it's time to exterminate. We normally get one mouse sighting a year but my cat catches it and bats it around a little and then the mouse takes off under the stove not to be seen again.

I have a kitty who did this for awhile too. I've been told that this behavior means one of two things:
- from kitty's perspective s/he brings you gifts cause s/he "loves" you - I think we're all agreed on this one. :-)
- and cause kitty loves you, s/he trying either feed you, or teach you to hunt.
This behavior stopped at my house when kitty tried to bring in a freshly dead squirrel. He was really put out when I shut the door on him and wouldn't let him in - the look on his face was priceless!

Put some decon out, or set mouse traps. Keep these in a place the cat can't reach though.

you can't get rid of the hunting instinct. You can get rid of the rodents. If she is bringing the mice in from outside then limit her time outdoors.

NO DECON!! You don't want your cat to eat a poisoned mouse. She is bringing you gifts. Just thank her and put them in the garbage.

Well, its the thought that counts, feed the dead mice to your parrot if you have one. or throw them over your neighbors fence.
