Im on a low carb diet. is the yoke part still ok to eat?? (as in scrambled eggs)

I don't know if there are high carbs in the yolk but when people are on a low cholesterol diet they often don't eat yolks because they are high in cholesterol. The whites of eggs are low in cholesterol so dieters like to eat just the whites.

The yolk is fine on a low carb diet. It contains some fat, iron, and other nutrients. I guess some people who eat only egg whites want just pure protein. yuk,

The yolk is very high in cholesterol (approx 210 milligrams per large egg) and fat (about 5 grams). If you don't have high cholesterol, it's fine. Just don't over do it.

People avoid the yellow part because that is where the cholesteral is. If you don't have a cholesteral problem, then go ahead and eat them. They don't have any carbs.

My stepmom is allergic to the yolks. On the other hand, I hate the whites but I like the yolks.

Talk to your doctor and see what they say.

egg yolk is very high in cholestrol, which is very healthy if ur young but doctores suggest people to avoid it after 40s.
