Is a high-protein diet bad for an average teenage girl, or is it good? For example, my food intake today was 17% fat, 51% carbs, and 31.5% protein...(you're supposed to have 30% fat, 55% carbs, and 15% protein). How should I eat if I want to maintain a healthy weight, and also look lean?

the RDA requirements are not accurate and not applicable to the sedentary lifestyles that the average person in the US leads today.
the body composition and daily level of activity must be taken into account when designing a diet. as the goals change typically so do the ratios of the macro nutrients. the current level of body fat is a direct indicator of the bodies current ability to metabolize nutrients efficiently. so a high carb diet for a person with already high body fat will obviously cause further weight gain as their body can not efficiently metabolize glucose.
if you are not a competitive athlete like a distance runner, swimmer, etc. then I would go anywhere from isocaloric which is 33% protein, 33% carbs and 33% fats to 40% protein, 40% carbs and 20% fats.
people that are not physically active simply do not need or require a high carb intake. the brain only needs several grams of glucose hourly to function normally and the primary energy source of skeletal muscle at rest are free fatty acids.

Depends on the protein you are eating. If it is beef and fatty, that is not good. Do you eat lots of red meat? Most teens can get by with ingesting lots of calories but eventually, it will catch up to you. Think lots of fruits and vegetables daily and small amount of protein. That will keep you looking lean and at a healthy weight.

Keep track of your total calorie intake for everything you eat or drink. Stay away from sodium (salt) as it cause you to retain water in your system causing a bloating look. Personally i would i pull back on carbs a little and raise protein.

well im a 13 year old girl trying to develp muscle and im on a very high protein/calorie diet(though my fat is kindof high, especially saturated fat)
u should actually get a good amount of carbs, but get it from anything whole wheat(whole wheat breads, pasta, oatmeal, cereals) and there are these protein bars that taste REALLY GOOD(some arent good at all) and they have 32 grams of protein and have low fat, low sugar, moderate carbs, and good amount of calories for a good size too. they are called "proto pure" and the flavor is chewy chocolate chip. i eat them every day and they seem kindof addicting. try them.

40 protein x 30 carb x 30 good fats
look up the Zone diet.
add 1-2 hrs cardio 3x a week. you'll get there quick!
Ditch all dairy and red meat, refined grains. eat more veggies.

nooo!!! Protein is good for you, but you shouldn't go out of your way to get protein unless your usual diet has none already. Too much protein can lead to some bad health problems. My parents knew a couple who got really sick from protein-poisoning (yes, you CAN have too much of a good thing!). It's good for you for a while, but too much can lead to heart problems and circulation problems. It's just not a good road. A good amount of protein is OK. And you can also have protein drinks and all that cool stuff, just don't eat pure meat for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.. not good for you.

Continue cutting back on your fat intake, high protein is not bad at all, especially sice your young and growing. Just stay away from junk food and fatty foods, eat healthy, and you'll stay thin.
Just be sure not to starve yourself, please...
