Is Acquisition any good?

My friend got a new iPod and she gets all her songs for free because she has Acquisition.

I was wondering if it is any good and if it is Legal. Does it send viruses to your computer if you download it? If I should get it, should I pay for it (Pro) or should I not pay for it? (2.0)
