It is very ironic that so-called Christians, who celebrate paganistic holidays, smoke, and go to war, call Jehovah's Witnesses non-christians because we do not believe in the non-biblical trinity and the non-existent God the Son.

It all makes sense that most people feel that way about us because Jesus said that out of all those who profess to be true believers, only a few are on that narrow road that leads to life. (Matt. 7:13, 14) Jehovah's Witnesses are on that road.

Lavender says: "What does the Holy Bible say in the scriptures that would consist of being a "death sentence?" Well, at Matt. 7:21, Jesus said: "Not everyone saying to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter into the kingdom of the heavens, but the one doing the will of my Father who is in the heavens will." Is it the Father's will that his people should be involved in false religious practices and customs, no matter how innocent they look? No. To those who insist on following paganism, Jesus said: "I never knew you! Get away from me, you workers of lawlessness." (Matt. 7:23)

Christmas at it's core is a very pagan holiday. This is what the Encyclopedia Americana says about it. "Most of the customs now associated with Christmas were not originally Christmas customs but rather were pre-Christian and non-Christian customs taken up by the Christian church. Saturnalia, a Roman feast celebrated in mid-December, provided the model for many of the merry-making customs of Christmas. From this celebration, for example, were derived the elaborate feasting, the giving of gifts, and the burning of candles."

The Bible also says the sheppards were tending to their flocks at the time of Jesus's birth. If that is true then Jesus could not have been born on December 25th. Bible scholar Albert Barnes says "It is clear from this that our Saviour was born before the 25th of December . . . At that time it is cold, and especially in the high and mountainous regions about Bethlehem. God has concealed the time of [Jesus'] birth. . . . Nor was it of consequence to know the time; if it had been, God would have preserved the record of it."

Nowhere in the Bible is it stated what month and day Jesus was born. Christmas was created to make Christianity seem more appealing to the pagans. The church adopted their customs and dressed it up with Jesus. Christmas is not that different now. Most people only go to church on Christmas and Easter. They're not doing it as a love for Jehovah. only as a show to everyone that sees them.

It would seem to be a " Christian " in the Eyes of the Majority of People, you need to do the following:
Wear a Crucifix.
Engage In Christmas & Easter Celebrations.
Engage In ANY immoral Behavior that suits you.Of course there is always the Priests On Standby to Listen to that Confession and then one can start that Behavior all over again.
You also Need to be able to Pick Up a Gun and shoot a Fellow " Christian " on the otherside of the Battlefield, nevermind you both of the Same Denomination..Afterall God will Understand.
All Of The Above is Asinine. Yet thats what the Majority of so called Christians Think Jehovah's Witnesses MUST do in order to " Prove " they " Christians".. I Think NOT.!!

Yes , you are right.

It is SO ironic that you call yourself Christian when really you worship Gods enemy.

You expose yourself as not being Christians by the fact that you continue to following Pagan lies and teachings. (eg- the trinity , hellfire , the immortal soul)

If you don't like that 'NON-Christian' tag , then stop following Satan's lies and the traditions of men., and instead follow what is really written in the Bible.

Its as simple as that.

As the questioner notes, Jehovah's Witnesses are Christians; they teach that Christ was and is Divine and of the same nature as God.

Jehovah's Witnesses teach that no salvation occurs without Christ, that accepting Christ's sacrifice is a requirement for true worship, that every prayer must acknowledge Christ, that Christ is the King of God's Kingdom, that Christ is the head of the Christian congregation, that Christ is immortal and above every creature, even that Christ was the 'master worker' in creating the universe!

Jehovah's Witnesses love and respect and honor Christ. They do NOT celebrate so-called "Christmas" because "Christmas" does NOT celebrate Christ; "Christmas" celebrates the pagan Saturnalia. Jesus was not even born in December. Nearly all so-called Christmas customs dishonor Christ.

(Jeremiah 10:2-5) This is what Jehovah has said: "Do not learn the way of the nations at all... 3 For the customs of the peoples are just an exhalation, because it is a mere tree out of the forest that one has cut down, the work of the hands of the craftsman with the billhook. 4 With silver and with gold one makes it pretty. With nails and with hammers they fasten them down, that none may reel. ...the doing of any good is not with them."

By contrast, it's tragic that the one holiday Christ actually *DID* ask Christians to commemorate is entirely ignored by almost all of Christendom. It is, of course, the Memorial of Christ's death, sometimes called "the Last Supper" or "the Lord's Evening Meal".

(1 Corinthians 11:23-25, NWT) The Lord Jesus in the night in which he was going to be handed over took a loaf... Keep doing this in remembrance of me.” 25 He did likewise respecting the cup.. Keep doing this... in remembrance of me.”

(1 Cor 11:24, 25, NEB) "Do this as a memorial of me.”

Christ Jesus himself personally celebrated and explained the significance of that Last Supper to his followers (see Matthew 26:26-29). Christians who commemorate the Last Supper have done so on the same Jewish calendar date as Jesus did, Nisan 14, which generally falls between late March and mid-April. Interestingly, Christians in the centuries immediately after Christ's impalement were sometimes called "Quartodecimans" which literally mean "Fourteen-ers", because the early Christians were well-known for this true holy day.

How would Jesus feel to learn that the holiday he commanded was widely ignored, while his so-called followers chose to celebrate a pagan false god and their own traditions of men? We don't need to wonder.

(Matthew 15:6-9) You have made the word of God invalid because of your tradition. 7 You hypocrites, Isaiah aptly prophesied about you when he said, 8 ‘This people honors me with their lips, yet their heart is far removed from me. 9 It is in vain that they keep worshiping me, because they teach commands of men as doctrines.’”

I'm a Christian, but I'm not a member of the denomination called Jehovah's Witnesses. You are Christians, but you sure have a lot of messed up beliefs. As if YOU'RE any better for calling CHRISTIAN holidays "pagan".

If you knew ANYTHING about these "pagan" holidays you'd know they are not celebrated the same; but I'm curious what are these "pagan" holidays you speak of?

Is Christmas a pagan holiday? You mean you don't praise God for sending his son? You only praise him because he died and rose? Jesus couldn't have died for us if God hadn't given him as a gift to us. Just what is so wrong about celebrating the birth of Christ? It's just another day of praise. If you praise God on Thursday are you worshiping the day of the week? No.

LOOK JUST BECAUSE A HOLIDAY MAY HAVE SECULAR ORIGINS DOESN'T MEAN WE STILL CELEBRATE THAT EXACT ORIGIN. COME-ON!! WE DON'T CELEBRATE THE ACTUAL PAGAN CELEBRATION. IT IS NOT CELEBRATED THE SAME!! THIS GOES TO SHOW JWs ARE SCREWED UP.

Yeah... I can see how you're a Christian with FULL respect. Are you respecting the beliefs of these holidays? No.

people keep saying that Jehovah Witnesses are not Christians, why because we don't celebrate Xmas. we are Christians. we do what Jesus Christ commanded at Matthew 28 verse 19 and 20. we are the only ones doing it. Jesus said to celebrate his death, not his birth. also Jesus was not born in DEC. Jesus died at 33 1/2 on Nisan 14 or the last supper which is in April. count six months forward and you get Oct.. we have this beautiful book about The Greatest Man Who Ever Lived and it is about the life of Jesus Christ. if we did not believe in Jesus Christ why would we have this beautiful book about Jesus Christ?

Celebrating holidays is not a "death sentence". What does the Holy Bible say in the scriptures that would consist of being a "death sentence"? That is the one's that people should be made aware of; the sins that will surely lead you to death and eternal.

LineDancer, go all the waaaaaaay back to the biblical days. What was the pagan holidays at that time? What are the holidays today that is mentioned in the Bible that is considered pagan? I can think of one that YHWH would definitely consider demonic and that is halloween. You consider me pagan? Where is your authority to classify me in one group? YOU don't know me personally and yet you have the right to put yourself "above" me? Are you puff up with pride?
1 Corinthians 5: 9-13: I have written to you in my letter not to associate with sexually immoral people, NOT at all meaning the people of this world who are immoral, or the greedy and swindlers, or idolaters. In that case you would have to leave this world. But now I am writing you that YOU MUST NOT ASSOCIATE with anyone who CALLS HIMSELF A BROTHER but is sexually immoral or greedy, an idolater or a slanderer, a drunkard or a swindler. With such man DO NOT EVEN EAT. WHAT BUSINESS IS IT OF MINE TO JUDGE THOSE OUTSIDE THE CHURCH? ARE YOU NOT TO JUDGE THOSE INSIDE? YHWH will JUDGE those outside. "EXPEL THE WICKED MAN AMONG YOU."
Puff up with pride and haughtiness will get YOU HYPOCRITES NOWHERE in Christian upbuilding.
There the Bible says "EXPEL THE WICKED MAN AMONG YOU."
Do that FIRST before you TALK (Judge) of someone outside of your church.
Who says a person can or cannot be saved at the end? Definitely not you or I. That authority is YHWH's and YHWH's alone.

Update~~
We are christian......We believe that God is Jehovah and his son is Jesus Christ.

Yes. I know. Also, how they can turn round and say that we don't accept Jesus Christ. Where do they get their ideas from? Actually, I think it is just an excuse so that they can get on with their "holier than thou" lives thinking they have something better, when in fact, they have nothing.
