He should have known what class of vehicle he was taking the test for - a, being a motorcycle, and b, a car.

He would also have had the licence when he did the theory test, so did he do a bike theory and then try to do a car test?

So, did he apply for a 'b' licence and then not check it on receipt, if so, its his fault.

Has he been taking car lessons with a school or private tutor and no one checked his licence?

I've even had instances in the past when candidates have turned up with someone elses licence, which is a bit unfortunate as the police then get involved.

He's just going to have to go through the grinder again and take the loss as his own fault.

Shouldn't take too long to get a new test date though.

This sounds like an Irish humorous tale! An a marginally of a & b etc. "Why did the Irishman take an afternoon off paintings?" to choose for a driving try, yet a document mistake has made him wait. to confirm, to confirm, i'd relax & try returned in yet another place.

Bureaucracy! It is the same everywhere. And there usually is nothing that can be done about it.
