Hell yeah, it's worth getting. Heavenly Sword, Metal Gear Solid 4, Ratchet & Clank Future, Uncharted, Final Fantasy XIII, LittleBigPlanet, Haze, Killzone 2, Resistance: Fall of Man, etc. It also doubles as a Blu-ray player, so you can watch Spider-Man 3, Pixar movies, etc. in 1080p if you have a 1080p TV.
The 60 and 80 gb version are virtually identical expect for the 20 gb difference, and the 60 gb has the emotion engine, which was the CPU used to run PS2 games, so backward compatibility is almost 100% for PS2/PSX games. The 80 gb version is missing the emotion engine, so it uses software emulation to play PS2/PSX games. The percentage of PS2 games playable on the 80 gb is less than the 60 gb. The 60/80 gb version has 4 USB ports and flash drives. It also has Wi-Fi out of the box.
The 40 gb only has 40 gb, no emotion engine, and only 2 USB ports. It also doesn't have any flash drives. It does have Wi-Fi out of the box. The 40 gb cannot play PS2 games, but it can play PSX games.

Yes it is worth it, The PS3 is true NEXT GEN, 360 is this gen. Once graphics are utilized to their full potential, and in 1080p, the 360 is gonna be left in the dust. A lot of people bought a 360, so I dunno if sales will rise anytime. But for sure get PS3, games are coming, so enjoy!

well yea u should get it it costs alot but wait till christmas it will drop by at least $50 (maybe more) the diff is more memoory in the expensive 1 but my opinion if you play a small amount of games on it get the cheaper one!!

Its F***** amazing!
Only real diff is memory and backwards compatibility (only on the 40Gig one thou) but if your not gonna play PS2 games on it go for the 40Gig one.
