What's so special about the guy? Seriously. Sure his dad was a great racer and a racing legend, but what's so special about him? He barely wins any races and his team has had at least 11 or 12 engine failures this year. Whenever a segment on a sports show is covering NASCAR, it's always about Dale Jr. Oh my god!!! He switched teams and his number. Big woop. So did Mark Martin last year and Dale Jarret and Ricky Rudd.

Jr's good, a new team will be good for him.
Now, as for AMP's comment about those "LOSERS" being past there "PRIME". Rudd, maybe. Jarrett (my fav for 15 years) is in the mist of a breakout year for Toyota. And Mark Martin...well YOU need to look back at the beginning of the season. He was top in points untill his "limited" season kicked in. He would be near the top if not #1 had he raced the entire season. Look at his stats. They speak for themselves. Jarrett is a former champion. Losers? I think not.

Dale Jr is big time overrated. He has yet to prove he is one of the best drivers. He is avg. He will not do much better next season and will be lucky to make the top 12. I bet you all the money that Nascar will fix the rules so JR will be in the chase. I can see at least 12 drivers that are far better than him. Right now the best drivers are Johnson , Gordon and Tony Stewart.

Clearly he did inherit some of dads fans and good for him..While he's struggled for a couple of years,he showed great promise early in his career. There is no doubt he is a very talented driver and for many reasons hasnt lived up to his capabilities.Engine failures have hurt him and keep in mind he doesnt build them. But I think his problems run much deeper and by far the best thing and the most couragous thing he could do was jump ship and go to HMS.He knows and his fans know with the equipment and leadership provided by Hendrick he'll need to get to victory lane next year.If you give him nothing else give him props for being brave enough to risk his legacy by making this move. His story isnt half written and Ive got a feeling when its all said and done he'll be just fine.

I think he gets too much publicity, but it's not his fault. I think he'll do better next year under a different team. To say what about Gordon or Johnson getting publicity is kind of stupid as they are leading, and deserve the attention whether you like them or not. Why would they not get attention when they are leading the points race? It would be irresponsible not to if you were a journalist.

Think about it. A couple of years ago he was winning races and averaged in the top 10. He is one of the top drivers. Every race this year he has had parts failure. His fault? I don't think so. It's also his attitude. You never hear him bad mouth other drivers or blame his mistakes on any one else. He's a class act.

What was the Junior Nation's excuse for him not winning at Texas? I haven't heard yet.

Gee I dunno... Is Paris Hilton way over rated and getting way too much publicity. There's too many people who get over publicized. You know why? Because that's what the people want. If the people want it, they're going to get it. So no, it's not you at all! It's Dale Earnhardt Jr.!
