Hehe. Mine are 5 and 3 and they got a lot of candies. Almost a bag full. I let them keep the bag in their room and told them they can only eat three candies a day. Now, they kinda leave it sitting without touching it at all.

At 5 and 3, they don't need candy. You did the right thing, good for you.
Especially the 3 year old- why would you be giving them candy anyhow? HELLO! Next thing you know, you'll label them with ADHD and put them on pills.
Nice.

I would tell them. I have a 5 year old and a three year old would be asking questions till they get thier answer. Right now they are not asking where their candy at since I hide their candy. They get a piece of candy if they are good.

Shame on you. LOL I understand they are young, but you ate all of it? When I had my foster son, he would ration his candy out, and it would last more than just a few days. Promoting your kids to eat all their candy right away is not really a good thing. I don't know how much is "all" as they may have only hit a few houses, but still...they are old enough to know 'they' didn't eat it all. Perhaps the common sense thing to do is to pretend it is lost, replace it for them and then while helping them find it, it appears...hope you can remember what you ate so you know what to replace!!!

Why did you eat *their* candy?????????????????? I think you should have just bought some for yourself. I think you honestly owe them an apology and tell them that you made a mistake and take them to the store to buy some new candy. What are you teaching them if you don't own up to your mistakes and accept responsibility? I think you also need to practice self-control. But aside from that, you should do what you can now to fix what you have done.

well let's see.....if they got in and ate all your lollies without asking what would you do? I am sorry but it doesn't matter what the age of the kids, that was wrong. How can you teach them the right behaviour when you do this? You need to apologise for your lack of control and go out and let them pick out a few for you to replace them with

Tell them they aren't allowed to have candy for a while because it is bad for their teeth. They will forget about it, but go buy some and keep it on hand in case they ask for it back. But don't eat it! That way you aren't really lying.

Kudos to SunnyAnnie for ratting you out.
So, since you are too young to have a 5 year old, whose candy did you eat?

Head to walgreens, and give them back the candy they earned sad day when a parent takes food from a child. To add, your profile does not add up to the question you posted, so idle chat is against guidelines.. Read much:?
