Her chances of surviving, are not promising, because she is so small, and the male is so much larger, and the puppies are going to be too large for her to deliver on her own. You should have done something much sooner than this. It's too late now, if she only has 1-2 weeks left. You really need to talk to your vet, when you take her in tomorrow. I am almost positive that they will recommend that she has a C-Section. Also speak to your vet about having her spayed, so that this does not happen to her again! Good Luck! Poor Baby! I feel so sorry for her! I really hope she and the puppies make it!

Well you SHOULD have had her spayed, but since it is too late for that, you SHOULD have had her pregnancy terminated, but since it is too late for THAT, well sheesh.
Around 60 days in to her pregnancy, the vet should do a c-section to remove the pups. A Pomeranian CANNOT carry Heeler pups full term, nor deliver them safely.
Her life may be in danger, serious danger. Hopefully this will persuade you to NEVER have an intact dog ever again. Spaying and neutering your own dogs prevents this 100% of the time!
Why are you only NOW calling the vet? If you had been to the vet before now, you could have terminated the pregnancy and possibly saved her life.
Pom/Heeler pups...what a nightmare.

I don't know how big is the Blue Heeler Cattle Dog is. But the sounds is big. Anyway I have a friend who has a small dog and has the same story as you are. The mother dog gave birth thru Caesarian operation. And your plan to see a vet is good. In addition to my friends mother dog all the puppies as well as the mother survive.

Oh boy, are you ever entering into the lions den with this question! the fast answer isn't any. no longer in ordinary terms could no one, yet no one do mixture matings (if no longer something there are adequate mutts in Shelters already) even nonetheless it is all o.k. this fool around the corner desiring his canine used, even nonetheless it will be all the way down to YOU to do each and all the artwork, putting your b itch by using a being pregnant, and assisting her to boost something as much as a dozen doggies. intense-high quality one. and have you ever had your b itch checked for hip and elbow dysplasia (rife in GSDs) and has he had his Blue heeler examined? of direction no longer!! you in addition to mght do no longer say how old your GSD is - no b itch could have a muddle till now 2 years, nor after 5. it somewhat is a ludicrous theory, and can be extremely irresponsible, on the two factors. For the checklist, mixture breed mating can often times produce intense-high quality finding doggies (yet each puppy is lovable), yet via fact the inventory used is often no extra suitable than puppy inventory, possibilities are high the ensuing doggies will carry each and all the themes, in the two breeds and in ordinary terms positioned extra heartbreak onto harmless vendors. His canine could be castrated, and your b itch spayed - each season she's allowed to have will boost the threat of her arising mammary or uterine maximum cancers later on, and he or she additionally might no longer stay to tell the story a being pregnant/whelping, extraordinarily appropriate if in the palms of a beginner.

Are you sure it's too late? You need to speak with a vet and ask him/her what your options are. Your dog is going to be very luck to get through this without a c-section. Start studying up on whelping and raising puppies. Be prepared for the unexpected that will pop up. Raising puppies takes lots of money, energy and time from you. Get her spayed asap if you don't want this to happen again.

If you would have acted sooner she could have been spayed.
Talk to the vet soon, get her there as soon as possible, you need to know how big the pups are and how many. If they are too big the vet will have to do a c-section which is HIGHLY EXPENSIVE!
No I have never been through anything like that.
When the vet says she can be spayed have her spayed to prevent future breedings like this.

Save a few grand for a C-Section, starting doing research on whelping, and connect with your veterinarian. They will be your best resource. Make sure you know the warning signs to look for and it is crucial that you locate a 24 hour emergency clinic in your area.
This is important: I would have your vet x-ray your dog THIS WEEK (asap) so you know how many pups she is carrying so you know if she is in trouble or not.

The only thing you can do is schedule a vet appointment. The vet will know what to do and whats best for the dog. I suggest spaying the next dog you get....
