No, it is wise.

I dream of the goalposts or something impaling the hero at the supposed moment of triumph, causing shocks and gasps.

No! - I can't handle "daughter dying of illness - mother must raise grandkids" movies too well either. :)
I'd rather watch Arnnoold, Wil or Bruce shoot something, or save the day.

like facing the giants?? it is not a sin no! a movie is just made for entertaining not having any eternal worth ya know?! if you absolutely hate that movie than that is your preference, not a sin!!!
