Are the people that seek God happy in this life or do they wish they had a better life, better spouse, more money, more good looks, love of their dreams?

Are the people that seek God unhappy and uncontent with their present looks, of jobs or spouses or are single and can't seem to get a lover and that is why they seek God, when actually if they had what they dreamed they wouldn't seek God at all?

Do I invent this divine eternal soul so that I may escape negative emotive forces produced by discovery of my body's impending doom, or is it upon the infinite divine eternal one that amateur psychologists presume? Does the fractal infernal seek and find the divine eternal because the divine eternal seeks and finds the fractal infernal? I say that perhaps in seeking the fractal infernal temporal seed body, the soul spirit found the emotive balance to divinity eternal. I say it may be true that there can be no gladness without sadness, and there can be no anger without fear. Life is a synthesis of fractal, infernal, temporal seed body and divine eternal soul spirit. This synthesis of life creates a range of emotive possibilities. This range of emotive possibilities creates entertainment.

God doesn't promise that he is going to make life happy and fun. In fact, being a Christian can be harder sometimes because much of the world rejects Christianity.
Whether someone is happy, broken, uncontent, lonely, or whatever when they find God purely depends on the situation. But people don't seek God, when the time is right He seeks them. He provides the opportunity for them to know Him, and they can accept or reject him. Many times we find God in times of sorrow, because we need Him. And a million things happen during life, God gives and God takes away, but the important thing is that when all else gives out God is there.

Funny. I have a beautiful wife, two great kids, a lovely home, 2 bestselling books, and more money than I really need. Yet God is what I seek more than anything else. Man was created with an empty spot that sooner or later he will come to realize can only be filled by God. Some search for God through insane routes, such as asking mixed questions. Others search for God by trying to run from their emptiness. But either way, we all shall seek him.

people cannot seek God without God first seeking them. However, God can use many ways to draw people to Himself- and He can use trials in a person's life to draw them, or other people- I was actually pretty happy, or so I thought, when I found God- and it was not because I thought i needed Him, I felt a nudge from what now I know is the Holy Spirit- I was known as the good girl, and did not seemingly have that many problems as a teen- however I knew that I needed a savior- and God sought me out,and I found Him,to be everything that He claims to be in scripture. Jesus sought me while I was yet a sinner. Since I have become a Christian, I have experienced many heartaches, however during each one, God's grace has and is sufficient for me.

People seek God for many different reasons.

They say there are no atheists in foxholes when the enemy is knocking at their door.

Faith in God gives people the strength, ability, character, courage, belief in what they are doing, purpose, and right attitude to sustain them through all the tough trials and tribulations that most people have to face at one stage or another throughout their lifetime.

Without God there would be nothing not even space or time itself but through him nothing is impossible and in the end all Christians know deep down in their own heart that if they believe in Jesus Christ and accept him as their own personal Lord and Saviour then they will always be safe no matter what might happen or go wrong.

Very good question. I think many people seek God as a way to escape their troubles, but I like to think some seek Him out of Love and understanding of the Holy Scriptures (of the different religions).

In general, the people who decide to actively seek a god are fearful. What they're fearful about may vary from person to person, but it's rare that somebody happy will need to bother.

And to point something out, why do you need a god to have purpose in life? As far I'm concerned, the purpose of life is to live it. So live it up, there may not be another.

I think something that made alot of us start seeking God is realizing that there is something missing. Something that isn't earthly something that you can't get from people and materials. Alot of people do it out of courosity. Some do it b/c of something that felt or experience they had (good and bad). B/c they come to a point and realize that they are not the only ones here on this earth and it goes deeper then the natural relam and goes into the spiritual relam.

People in this life that seek God are happy and sad and mad and all of the above. We look for his guidance through the bible and through others who read of his words. People do not have to be stupid to seek God and people do not have to be unhappy to seek God.
