There is no single earthly head of all the Orthodox Churches comparable to the Pope of Rome. There is simply a communion of bishops.

The highest-ranking bishop of the communion is the Patriarch of Constantinople. Currently, his name is Bartholomew.

Traditionally in the Eastern Orthodox churches, the Patriarch of Constantinople is held as the "leader."

However, recent events within the Orthodox community has pointed out some of the fractures within that system of "unity and independence." The Patriarch of the Russian Orthodox Church has walked out of meetings being held among the Patriarchs (including the Patriarch of Rome, the Pope) on the basis of "the Patriarch Constantinople does not represent all Orthodox believers." It seems that there is some kind of leadership dispute going on behind the scenes.
