The 20GB and 60GB PS3 will play PS1 and PS2 games with nearly no problems at all. I have the 60GB PS3, and I've been able to play all of my PS1 and PS2 games without one problem.
The 80GB PS3 may have problems playing some PS1 and PS2 games because it doesn't have as much backward compatibility. And the 40GB PS3 doesn't play PS1 and PS2 games at all.

as lengthy as that's an unique psrecreation and not a copied version, then specific, you are able to play psgames on your PS2. in spite of the undeniable fact that, you nonetheless choose the memory card for the psto keep your information. there have been problems with memory storage in progression so Sony made it separated rather of blended like initially deliberate. from time to time there additionally are themes with the controllers for specific psgames. on the suitable close to the twine it is going to declare dualshock or dualshock 2. some psgames will make the main of the analog sticks, yet some dont, as they have been made beforehand the analog sticks have been progressed. rather, its a tribulation and mistake difficulty with the controller. by potential of ways, FFVII sells for an fairly great volume on line, and that i might sense fortunate if I have been given it for what you possibly have been given it for. in case you have from now on questions concerning this rely, be happy to digital mail me!

The only person that gave a competent answer is adrianclay. The rest of these people are idiots, and create a convincing argument against the theory of evolution (they should all be dead if 'natural selection' is to be trusted).
Allow me to start the slow clap, because you all deserve a round of applause for your rampant incompetence.

Sadly, Sony didn't make the PS3 to be backward compatible. Just another way they're shooting themselves in the foot.
