Alma 37:37 37 Counsel with the Lord in all thy doings, and he will direct thee for good; yea, when thou liest down at night lie down unto the Lord, that he may watch over you in your sleep; and when thou risest in the morning let thy heart be full of thanks unto God; and if ye do these things, ye shall be lifted up at the last day.

Actually that would have been really cool if we did pick the same one. I was actually thinking along those lines, but this one kept popping into my head, so I thought I would go with it.

I agree - a very good one.
This verse is so positive in it's advice and counsel to include our Father in Heaven and our Savior in our lives. The joys, the pains. The triumphs, the failures. To have such a relationship with them that they become one's greatest friends, allies and resources. It's a good reminder. And I love the subtle promise -- to be lifted up. There is such a wealth of meaning there, to be lifted up not only in our hearts and minds and strength, but also to be exalted.

I love this scripture. To me, it means that no matter what the situation, all you have to do is ask the Lord and you'll know what to do. You'll be able to always have his spirit with you, to feel safe at night, to be happy when sad, to feel warm when you're cold. Be thankful to the Lord and remember he is watching over you and always do your best. Then you will live with him again.

I love that verse. It's very comforting. My son gives me a beautiful calendar every year with Bible verses on it. It's nice to start the day and end the day with one of them. Thank you for this question.

One of my favorite hours, to lay my head on my pillow and
am thankful for a cozy bed and a roof over my head and all is well with my soul.
Angels on your pillow to all this night.

This is a good one! It just means that if we stay in a prayerful mood, especially one of gratitude, we will be heard, and we will be blessed. I did hear once that if the only prayer you ever said was one of thanks, you would be miles ahead of somebody who never prayed.

What do I think? I think you need to buy a new Bible, because the book of Alma shouldn't be in it.

Edit:
Seriously though, what (or whose) Bible is that book in?
