Neither of my girls is under or overweight- they're both very healthy little girls, but my 2 year old eats about twice what my 4 year old does every day. I have to fight my 4 year old to finish her dinner every night, and my 2 year old often goes back for seconds or even sometimes thirds! Is this normal?

relax. All kids have different eating habits. As long as they are both a healthy weight and are eating regularly, they're fine.

they are fine. sometimes the kids dont want to eat because they get distracted easily. i have a 15 month old who doesnt eat alot either, because hes too busy playing around. but as long as they are happy and healthy and everything is fine at the doctors when you take them in, then i wouldnt worry too much about it, i would get worried if she stopped eating.

I think it is ok if a child has as much food as he need, but until certain age, when the body structure starts to form. Try to keep you child from eating too much when she reaches age 4 or 5.

Every child is different. There is no reason for you to be concerned unless they are gaining/losing weight. If you are really concerned, I would ask your pediatrician about this because it is a valid concern. More often than not, I always feel better after addressing my concerns with my daughter's pediatrician.

Your 2yr old is probably just going through a growth spurt and gets more hungry than usual. Just as teenagers go through that kind of stage I think it's probably a stage. Also, some people just have a bigger appetite than others. I wouldn't be concerned but still tell your daughter's physician about it, she/he can tell you more.

Sure it is..all kids are different. As long as they look healthy and they act and play normally I'm sure they are just fine.
