Please take your cat to the vet asap. Same thing happened to my cat and she had a tumor on her jaw bone. She had just been in to see the vet for her 6 month exam 2 months before and they didn't see anything at that time. It was very fast growing and in 2 weeks after the first x-ray, her whole jaw was eaten up by the tumor. It was inoperable.

Bathing a cat is not going to solve a dental infection. Take him or her to the vet before this persists. It could be the start of gum disease.

Sounds like a serious infection. There is blood in the mucus. Take him to the vet immediately.

Sounds like an abscess or dental disease. You are smelling some kind of infection coming from the mouth. You really need a vet visit to solve this.
