I agree. That's why we all fall short and Jesus Christ perfectly fulfilled the law so we don't have to.

Most people of the world who might know the Law still wear a viel when they look at it; thinking that they can keep it "well enough" to earn God's favor and be saved.
2 Cor 3:14-17
14 But their minds were made dull, for to this day the same veil remains when the old covenant is read. It has not been removed, because only in Christ is it taken away. 15 Even to this day when Moses is read, a veil covers their hearts. 16 But whenever anyone turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away. 17 Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.
(from New International Version)
Gal 2:15-16
15 "We who are Jews by birth and not 'Gentile sinners' 16 know that a man is not justified by observing the law, but by faith in Jesus Christ. So we, too, have put our faith in Christ Jesus that we may be justified by faith in Christ and not by observing the law, because by observing the law no one will be justified.

Ahem...sorry to crash the party guys, but I DO!!
One thing:
Keeping the law of moses is no longer an issue. Jesus said that the Law of Moses was fulfilled in him. Done.
And, as for Temples, got it. Do it.
Mormons have Temples.
I am a Mormon.
I am a CHRISTIAN, because all mormons are. Don't argue with me on this one, it's pointless. The official name of the church is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
Sorry to get off track, and I really hope we can stay mature enough to respect eachother and just answer the question.
But yes, I find that I keep every law that I can. I will fail, occassionaly, because I am human. Can't avoid that.
Thank goodness for Christ, by the way. Without him, the world has no purpose whatsoever. Literally.

So what you are saying is that God changes the rules depending on the "cultures of the time?"
That seems a bit capricious, no?
By the way, Jesus didn't abolish the law (read Matthew if you have any doubt...all the "jot or title" stuff), Paul did. The idea that Christ removed the law is a Paul-based, not Jesus-based, idea.
You are thanking the wrong chap.

i can't say my spirituality has been affected, whether it is truthfully a reason for problem and be apologetic approximately. The saddest component is with the AIDS epidemic got here an endemic of lack of expertise. i latterly heard a non secular radio teach host declare AIDS replaced right into a effect of sin, and condoms could be banned. purely this morning a co-worker voiced her opinion that homosexuality replaced into the only reason AIDS exists. truly, it is terrifying that maximum of deaths have got here approximately and yet maximum folk of human beings able to helping refuse to do something yet throw around blame. it is not a time for accusations, that's a time for ordinary attempt and compassion.

Jesus was Jewish, genius.
As for keeping the laws of the old testament, religious Jews don't appear to be having any problems.
Is it part of your religion to speak so disrespectfully about other faiths? No? Then why are you?

I agree with you about the OT laws being old and out dated. But aren't they from the same god as the one in the NT ? And, if so, when did he change his mind ? Furthermore, if the OT can be replaced by the NT then aren't we almost due for the NT to be replaced by something else ?
It's all very complicated, isn't it ?

Sorry, I fail by my own works:
Romans 3
31 Do we, then, nullify the law by this faith? Not at all! Rather, we uphold the law.
Romans 4:8
Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin.
Thank God for His grace.

I can keep the laws of Moses and the Levites...
But I don't have to.
My church has a tabernacle and almost 130 temples world wide.
The Amish also have tabernacles!
