let me rephrase...CHRISTIANS only...how has God used you to glorify Him?

i really want God to use me, i want to help Him do his work somehow...i know He will but i am just waiting for what He's going to ask me to do. what about you? how has He used you in Church or elsewhere to bring glory to him? i pray that He will make me useful all the time, how will i know when He's called me to do something??

Just live your life for Him. He will place the opportunities in your path when you are least expecting it. Just living your everyday life as an example of Christ. Others will notice that. Some will tell you and ask you more, others will just observe at a distance but you will be making an impression.

Don't expect some big spectacular event to happen to show you how to do it, just go about your life and let the Holy Spirit guide you. It may be little quiets moments, it may be huge things.

I have heard how simple things, like taking a neighbor a plate of cookies has led that person to Christ. Sometimes simple friendship is all it takes. Just being a friend and loving your neighbor is the best way to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Your question has merit. Don't allow the hecklers to discourage you. I have been a Christian for quite a while and yes, God does use us to glorify Him. In fact He uses all of creation to glorify Him. Now, as far as Christians being obedient and listening and heeding the call of God on our lives, you need to get in tune with the Holy Spirit. Read your bible and pray daily. Ask God to show you what His will is for your life. Even if the task He gives you seems lowly and beneath you, know that no matter what we do for Him is considered great when we do it with a heart bent on servant hood. Those that are entrusted with little and are found faithful, to those He will entrust with much.

For me personally, God has given me talent in singing and writing. I believe we need to look at the areas of our obvious talents as where to begin in serving the Lord. If you cook well, volunteer at a shelter or a homeless kitchen..this is just an example. Of course go to God in prayer in everything before you begin. It's always the way to start anything.

well my youth group helps out in many ways. But my and my friends made a pray walk where we walk around the school and pray for the students and teachers or anything else on our mind. i love doing this and we get new people all the time (omgosh once this atheist can and now he comes every week and he goes to church reads the bible prays everything that makes it all worth it) this summer if i can find a way I'm going to the dr with some kids from our youth group and our pastor. its going to be great if i can go. but even if i cant i think god is calling me to be a missionary my friend thinks so to (she should be one to) but its scary because of what people do to Christan's

God has used me in being in charge of the sound board on Sundays. Now that i have been at my church more, i been given more opportunities to do more things. But i pray about it and talked to my pastor on what i should do. My calling is to be a teacher or a preacher, but my heart is still with playing music. See what your church is missing (sound, music, a person to go to) and do that. But remember to pray about it first.

Well he has used my in different ways at my home Church.. I ministered to people by praise dancing, ushering, Teaching Childrens Church, And working in Nursery. Now that I have moved from home, I have found a new church and now getting use to it. I have decided to sign up to take classes to minister to people by sharing the GOspel of Jesus Christ. I am also looking into signing up for the praise dance team.
I'm also giving some of my belongings to the needy.

We can Also Glorified God by Keeping his commandments.

I recently quit my job and wanted to know if it was the right decision. Life would be so much simpler if God would just send me an email but since we know he won't do that, I seek advice. From pastors or elders at my church, from my husband and friends from our church and first from His word. God's word said a mothers place is with her children so no matter HOW much I loved my job or how successful I felt, I have 2 kids and needed to be at home. I was very concerned and anxious about the whole thing but then I finally, after MUCH prayer and supplication, quit my job of 7 years. AND OH MY what a change, what a wonderful change in my life. God is blessing me for obeying his word. We know what we are supposed to do or be from the bible. Seek advice and be diligent to follow it carefully - when you glorify God, you ARE doing what he wants for you and vice versa.

I wanted to know, before I quit, if maybe I was just meant to be that very generous person with a job but after much research and prayer, it became clear to me, thanks to the Holy Spirits teaching in my heart, that I could BE generous AND obey God. I am now generous with my time and my love, not just money.

See a need, fill a need. As simple as that. Even smiling at a stranger, listening to someone who is lonely, cleaning the house of a friend/sister/brother/parent, visiting someone in hospital ... these all glorify God as we help to increase the love felt in the hearts of His children, and let them know that each and every one of them is a precious child of our Heavenly Father.
