have we not seen what Islam does or has done? I think if we really had to go with something we'd be much better off with christianity than Islam, agree?

Challenge them in all you do. Cut no slack. That goes for Islam too.

Religion is a very personal thing and there are good and bad people in all religions. For some answerers attacking other religions based on stereotype, ignorance or anger- you are not helping the situation.

It wasn't Islam altogether, it was Islamic extremism. The same goes for other religions. We can each believe or not believe what we want but none of us has any right to attack another person just because they believe differently from us.

It's unfair and irresponsible to lump people together. There is good and bad in every category from religion to politics to gender to ethnicity.

Speaking as a Pagan no. Why do people forget what Christians have done in the name of god. Or that priest said from the pulpit that women should be beaten to remove the evil. They burn people alive. The torture and murder. Not even children were safe. When the Crusaders took over Jerusalem The Christians killed very man ,woman and child no matter what thier faith was. When the Muslins took it back they let everyone go expect for the Knights Templar. No there is just as much bad to say about the Christian faith as there is about the Muskin faith.

What do you mean, should we give christians some slack? Is the basis of your beliefs to unite and bash others beliefs? Can't you just live the way you want to and let us christians live the way we want to? Our relilgion is based on love and compassion and the way you're presenting your non-religion is through hate and christian bashing. Have some proof to back up your beliefs instead of mearly mocking ours and trying to point out how silly they are. Explain your existence as you see it. Does they seem silly and pointless.

This question stereotypes both Christians and Muslims. I have come to expect better from my free thinking brothers and sisters.

With love in Christ.

As a Christian, I'd answer no, don't cut us any slack. Most Christians are getting it wrong. If you read the New Testament, you'll find a lot more about compassion and acceptance than the hatred brewing in most "Christian" churches. So keep questioning.

No. Bigoted christians have killed just as many innocents as bigoted islam, if not more. 20 million Native Americans dead, anyone?

No, haven't you seen what Christianity has done over the years? Burned "witches", killed heretics, murdered 6 million Jews, countless Native Americans and Muslims.

Any thought process that teaches its followers that death isn't final can be dangerous. Islam in and of itself isn't evil, the same is true for Christianity. It's what people can use it for. Fanatics of all stripes are dangerous, even if one type seems prominent at the moment.

No....I don't believe in any religion and I will not view one as better than the other. To me they're all fake. And don't be so ignorant, it's not the Islamic religion that is to blame for terrorist acts, but the fanatics who are just plain crazy.

EDIT: Chosen by Grace, why in the world would you try to connect with me on Y/A??? I read your little rant and you're the last person I would want to have an intelligent conversation with, because you lack reasoning.

Islam has done absolutely NOTHING against me, my nation or the ones I love.....

FYI, 9/11 was staged and performed by a bunch of fundamentalist morons, not by Islam, got it?

And last time I checked, the president who carpet-bombed a nation because "God told me to do it", and who happens to have access to thousands of nuclear weapons, is a Christian, not a Muslim...

But if you look at history, Christianity in the minority centuries ago. After holy war after holy war, Christianity became the most popular belief in the world. Cultures were destroyed. People died because Christians called them heathens. People were forced into submission because they were considered heretics.

Tell me what's different with Islam.
