Follow you heart if you are truly in love with him then yes you should wait. True love is hard to find and defiantly worth waiting for and fighting for. Stay true to him while he is in and if he is a good man he will love and respect you so much for that.

In most cases, no...waiting for someone who is in jail is not a good idea because it could be argued that they didn't value the relationship enough to steer clear of whatever offense got them arrested in the first place. I readily admit that this answer is simplistic, and make room for the possibility that each case should be judged on its own merits. For instance, why is he in jail? How long is he scheduled to be there? Mistake notwithstanding, how would you rate his overall character? (Be careful with this answer because you realize you already like him so you'll be tempted to overlook the obvious where flaws are concerned.) No parent wants this type of thing for their daughter and I'm sure your parents are no exception...but we also realize there are people our children latch onto that leave us powerless to intervene, so look honestly at this situation from all possible angles to reach the best decision. Being in jail doesn't necessarily make him a bad risk for loving....everyone makes mistakes at some time or another and we can all use a second chance at times...but it's not a point in his favor, either. Love wisely. Good luck to you.

No. Besides the fact that I have known SOOOO many people that have done exactly that and only come out of it heart broken... consider what he/she did to get put in there.
Obviously they felt that whatever they did to get put in jail was more important that you or anything else in their life, so much so that they were willing to give up their entire life and chance going to jail for it.
And guess what? You deserve better than that.

THEY ARE IN JAIL. Dont be a dipshit.
dont ruin your life.
you will find someone better.
P.s, i dont know how old you are, but im not even 18 yet, and if I can think of the right answer to this, you should REALLY take my advice, in my opinion you would have to be REALLY stupid to wait for someone in jail.

Depends on the person. If you have a long relationship with them and know that they are going to use their prison time to turn their lies around and come out a better person than they went in, then fine.
But if it's not a serious relationship (under several years), and you're trying to delude yourself that your devotion makes your love stronger and therefore you a better person, then no, you shouldn't wait. You should break up with him and tell him that his crime cost him not only his freedom but your trust in him. Tell him that if he's willing to do what it takes to turn his life around, he can approach you when he is paroled and you'll give him another chance, but you're not waiting around till then.

It would depend on how long I've known the person for, what he did to get jailed and how long he'd be in jail for.
