Warm salt water rinses...and some ice cream to keep it comfy!

simple pain relief

if you are not allergic to it, try paracetamol (or acetaminophen)

alternatively many chemists sell throat lozenges which can numb the back of the throat - if you suck on one of those and keep it close to where your tongue is bitten you might find that the pain settles down with the anaesthetic

ok they sell in the farmacy a gel that have navocaine and what it does it calm the pain untill it wears off that will help
