You go to nursing school to be a nurse, medical school to be a doctor. Nursing school takes about 4 years (to be a Registered Nurse) and your starting salary would be about $40-50,000 a year. RNs are in high demand everywhere.

After you become an RN, you can get additional education/experience and become and labor and delivery nurse, which is also in high demand. That would pay more than $50,000. Sometimes you need to get a master's degree but often you can get promoted through working in the delivery room of a hospital.
