It was during the hardest times in my life in which I turned to God for the first time as an adult. I invited Christ into my life. It was on April 28, of this year. I lamented and cried out to him for weeks and he gave me an annointing beyond explanation. I wanted to do nothing more than to live for him. I felt like I was outside this crazy world looking in. I began to notice how much of a sinner I was and started recognizing how aweful curse words sounded. This was odd because those type of words were a normal part of my vocabulary previous to being saved. I made a promise to God I would never turn my back on him. He saved my marriage, delivered me from alcohol and drugs, and healed me of depression. Would you want to back away and lose this type of person in your life? I say no way. I still struggle each and everyday with my sinful nature, but will never give up on striving to be a better person for the wonderous almighty God. I believe being a christian is a life long process and we only become perfect after this life on earth, when we are united with the Lord Jesus Christ.

I am committed to humanity, and to the Earth's ecological systems which support life - and to all living things with which we share that ecology. All these are visible, tangible and beyond debate. The concept of God is not. It is a human construct as its variations demonstrate - and if such a power exists it is certainly beyond our comprehension. So the best we can do - whether any supernatural power exists or not - is to deal with what is within our power to comprehend. We aren't responding to that reality largely because we avoid it with fantasies and foolish hubris about our place in it..
