WHen a Christian or other religious group or person tries to convince anyone of their beliefs and view points people get angry and say things like stop trying to convert me! Or Stop pushing your views down my throat!
But if a non believer tries to convince a religious person that they are wrong and to take on their beliefs instead its never considered the same thing. Why? Its clearly the exact same thing just different sides of the debate.
BTW: before any religious people or atheists start getting angry for no reason saying I DONT DO THAT! Fine but some on both sides do!

To Atheist: I have never been anywhere that had Christians standing on corners yelling anything. I have traveled all over and never seen it. I seen plenty of high school kids with signs wanting to wash my car and people protesting abortion and such things but never Christians yelling on the corner.

H.I of the H.I: I never posted anything in my question that could possibly make me a liar. I clearly stated at the end that certain readers of my question do not act in the ways I mentioned its a fact that some people on both sides do. And SOME do wether people want to admit or not.
Although the rest of your answer really does make sense.(Ill read your link after dinner, its meatloaf night)

I am always open to debate. I believe that we need the best in spiritual ideas no matter the source, whether group or individual. I am not a traditionalist, and my ideas are not out there as much. I debate within myself all the time, about whether my spiritual ideas could be made better. And I will debate anyone else that is willing. I know that in a spiritual debate, the energy tend to go torward the truth, so I just focus on being closer to the truth than the other person. I am extremely focused in this area, and love to find other as intense as me. this is very difficult. I get along best with very strong characters, who are not stuck in their ideas, and like debate.

Its never considered the same thing? You should avoid using an absolute like never in the details explaining your question. Using an absolute like never or always makes is easy to find an exception that makes you into a liar.
Religion begins when somebody decides they have found the best way to make up mind about self and world and go about the business of sharing that way with others. Atheism is a religion in as much as some atheists claim to have found the best way to make up mind about self and world and go about the business of sharing this way with others.

First off, this is kind of a generalization, but I do agree sometimes. I think it's because it's our job as Christians to hear the other side out and bring them to God. However, the non-believers of whatever religion's story they're listening to have to such oath and therefore don't have to listen.

The difference is that most atheist will not stand on the street corner shouting about how everyone needs to be an atheist. We don't go door to door passing out pieces of paper with our beliefs on them (I have even had this happen in RV parks). An atheist will normally not discuss his beliefs until asked.

No one should become irate over an answer either way. This is supposed to be a forum for intelligent discussion, not mudslinging.

Well if that happens to you then you can use the same response.
It's just their view or opinion and if you don't want to hear it you don't have to.
Cheers.
