Jesus is both. He is God and the 2nd person of the Holy Trinity, the Son of God. When God the Son became human, His name was Jesus.

The trinity is difficult to understand, in the God head is Father, son and holy ghost, its not 1+1+1=3 its more like 1times1times1=1 All are three seperate being united as one God, this varies depending on the denomination

If you see God as a person, then Jesus is the son of God. But if you see God as a 'powerful being', then Jesus is also a God.

He is God, son of God,and the Holy spirit it is the Trinity. It is confusing, but this is how we teach the kids in our church visually.

There are 3 cups. 1 cup is full of cold water, another cup is full of Ice, and the 3rd cup is full of Hot water with steam. OK water is Jesus, Ice is God, and the steam is the Holy Spirit. What does water, Ice, and steam have in common? They all are made up of water, but take upon different tasks. God is like that in a way he functions in 3 ways. Which is Father, son and Holy Ghost. I probably confused you even more sorry. But to answer your question it is both.

This is a tough question.
Jesus is the Son of God. See, there is God, The Holy Spirit, & Jesus. They make the Trinity [three in one] but they are all distinctly different. God is our Creator, Jesus is the one who died for us and the Holy Spirit is who lives in us when we accept the gift of salvation.

it's confusing, so i'm sorry if this doesn't make sense.
hope it helped =]

Son of God is a way of trying to describe in human terms the connection between God and Jesus....two and yet one. Same with the holy spirit, it is also one with them and yet seperate. Jesus is God and yet when He came to this earth He laid that aside and only used that which us humans can use to fight sin.

Jesus is God, "before Abraham is I am."

I am is the name that the God called out to Moses at the burning bush. Jesus also claimed to have created the heavens and the Earth.
