help on first tattoo?

Question

Ok so im gettin my first tattoo and im not really sure wat to get and where to get it ....i want it to have meaning and stuff so i wont regret it in the future
some things im thing along the lines of getting are
-something with my irish heritage but i want it to be original
-maybe something with my love for art
-i also work at a bakery which i love more than anything
-even maybe something about the anger i have towards things in this world or something

i really am lost right now
i just really want something with meaning to me that will always remind me of something
if u could help out thatd be fabulous

im just trying to help get the gears turning so i can decided ...i kno its my body and i need to be happy with it but i have like 4 month until i get it so im just tryin to get the wheels turning

Why don't you figure out something yourself, and don't get a tattoo until you're completely happy about what you decide. If you want something that means something to YOU, why are you asking people about what YOU should get? It's your body. Your decision. Don't base what you're getting on the ideas of strangers. You'll end up hating it.

remember it's there and no eraser.Irish,world anger,heritage,
original,love art appreciation,bakery & cooking,you have enough ideas now. The Artist will put it all together, and you can go from there.Make sure this place is well known and
good rep.Sanitary.You can get HIV from a tattoo needle.
Maybe an Irish bakery background and then the focus object.

Yeh, Melissa's rihgt. If I wer you I'd jus draw (if you can) out some cool ideas of things that you can't live without, love a lot, or are very interested in. My cousin got his first tattoo in May and he had ideas of what he wanted but at the same time he didn't know where to go. There are so many things you could get! Try thinking about what type of person you are and if you want something personal / origional or popular. I have the talent to draw so I have all my tattoos on paper but. If you want something with meaning to you, then YOU need to decide what you want. This will be a permanent piece of art on your body. My first tattoo, I waited 3 years before I was really committed to getting it. Pick what idea you like the best and take it to an artist. They will be more helpful in providing a piece of work that is original and meaningful to you.

Best thing to do is simply research more or less. Go to various tattoo sites and look at what they have. Save the ones you really like and once you have found a few go back and look over them really good, imagine where you want it and how you think it would look. Keep doing this till you find exactly what you want. 4 months should be plenty of time to look into this, if you truly want a tattoo that is.

I was in the same situation and I finally came to the conclusion that I would get something personal and something private So, I got a bumble bee on the end of my weiner and it`s very special to me.

Why get a tattoo when you don't even know what kind of tattoo you want?

Why do you want to get a tattoo?

People who get tattoos KNOW what they are getting them for and what they are having written permanently on their bodies.

There's too many "maybe's", and I'm lost right nows in your post.

You should wait until you know exactly what you want before you get a permanent mark on your flesh that won't wash off with water. It's a committment for life.

Keep in mind that not a lot of work places like or allow tattoos.

However, if that's what you really want just be wise about where and what it will be.

A celtic cross or other celtic designs would be nice. A good artist will be able to help you pick out or design the perfect tat.
