I mean...come on. Not only are these people blatantly lying and spreding stereotypes, but they clearly don't have a clue what they're talking about. It's lovely that because I wear black they say that I am a Satanist, a rapist, a murderer, freak, lunatic, racist, etc. Us "goth" looking people are for the most part friendly, accepting, and kind...we don't conform the stereotypes that this site promotes. I mean, since when does dress denote who a person is on the inside?
I'm not sure what to think-- is this a joke site, or are they serious? If they are serious, I'm torn between being sad that people can be so full of hate, and laughing because they look so ignorant. I'm sorry, but if a deity exists I truly hope that He or She is looking at people for who they are on the inside and looking at their deeds while alive-- not at how beautiful they appear to the rest of the world on the outside.
What do you guys think? Joke site, or nuts on the loose?

Squirt-- Haha lack of color, I always laugh at that. I'm an artist, I was always taught that black is lack of color or a shade, and white is a tint :)

Angela-- That's what I'm thinking, to. It just scares me a bit that some parents may see this and freak out on their kids. I wonder how many kids end up persecuted by their families because someone believes this site? At the same time, I hope it's just a joke site.

Pga-- See? You're perfect proof that goths aren't bad.
Personally, I don't fit the stereotype at all. I wear black and I have peircings (and soon self-designed tattoos) yet I end up giving to charity every year and going to help out homeless kids and their families. I ride a horse (still wearing my street clothes, which is kinda funny) and I take a week each year to go with my friends to the county fair. I don't fit all the things that site says either.

I am one of those "gothic" people that you refer to and I aslo am a very devote Christian. I must say the way people percieve me is the complete opposite of what I am. I have been called demonic, satanist, pagan, I get scared look from people all the time but if they took the time to know me they would know that I love helping people, Im careing, funny, sensitive but I guess because I wear black I must be a coldhearted devil worshipping psycho. I know that there is a God and that in the bible it says that your body is nothing, its your soul that is everything. Every site has all different kind of people and some out there are going to be those who are the complete opposite of you and have the complete opposite veiwpoints, I just choose to ignore them and beleive what I think will help me. I do however, like the way you think. You have a good question here, thanks for askin it.

OK. First off, HOW THE HELL DID GOTHS CAUSE HITLER!!!! Know I really like killing them because they think we do all the **** most christans did them selves!!!!! Can any of you guys tell me who caused the Haulocoust. Most Christans "I" know are suicidal because they sayy they can't take their religions strict "up the A S S" teachings!!!!!!! And most of them are racist because they say that we should all save our souls from the devil and quit our "satanic" religion. And some could be rapists and lunatics because of all the sexual repression their religion causes!!!!!! And another thing, VAMPIRES DON'T EXIST!!!!!!! *gaaaasp* I am so glad I got that off my chest.
EDIT: I took a look at the petittions and found a whole mess of s h i t they can't even dream of getting away with. After looking at it a little bit I really think that this may just be a joke. If not and they actually go through with all their petitions we actually have the right to sue them. They have as much right to ban "goth" children from school as a plate of chicken wings at a fat a s s convention(no offense).

I'm sorry someone hurt your feelings here. It's a sad fact that some people use this site as a joke site. What's even worse is that some people really have hate in their hearts for people they dont understand or cant relate to. Struggles, like this can build our character and/or make us stronger, if we allow them to. I feel that you should look at the silly comments as just that, silly. Peace to you

"violation ratio"? Funny .. peculiar. {Poor ignorant me, I guess ... at first I thought BA meant Bachelor of Arts, and the question almost made sense - nearly always monogamous; but .. then, no, and Best Answers. But I didn't know yuo could get a 'violation' rating. Maybe I'm not trying hard enough.}

I have always worn black. My favorite color to wear. I was accused of the same crap all my life. Color has nothing to do with religion or attitude. It's just color, or actually lack of color. So is white.
I did a little search on this guy. He says god hates retards and women. He's warped.

Ignorance at its finest...
Might as well say "Lets get dem black trenchcoat wearin punks and burn em at de stake!"
Why is it that the ultimate goal in some people's lives is to point fingers at others they do not understand and create blind hate? Doesn't your God say not to do that somewhere? (Even though He himself does the same thing many times in the Bible)

Goth dress represents a certain viewpoint.
If one dresses in that fashion, even though you do not share all the attitudes, don't criticize those who categorize you.
Why do you wear the costume of those noted for bad?
