Neutering will not stop the marking because this is an established habit. This is something you have to stop him from doing through fair corrections and clear leadership.

Having him neutered may help but at 3 there is no guarantee; however, it would be much better for his health to be neutered so I'd go ahead and hope for the best on the marking inside.

Neutering could help alot, but since he is already 3, it will take a few weeks after the surgery for him to be fully rid of the hormones. But since he is already an adult, this behavior is a habit for him. Make sure all the urine smells are out of the areas..even a trace amount will attract him to it.

I'VE SEEN ALTERED MALES MARKING, AND BY NOW IT'S INGRAINED HABIT, NOT JUST INSTINCT. Neuter b/c you are not able/willing/desirous of watching your dog to make sure he does not get loose to impregnate a female-that is the only reason. It is quite easy to ensure that he doesn't knock someone up if you are just thorough and vigilant. If your pittie is purebred, neutering him will bar you from ADBA and UKC shows. I'm not a fan of doing this for just any reason, as I don't believe in altering what is god (or naturally) given unless it is absolutely needed.

It should help.. but there is also this band that they sell at Petsmart and stuff that u wrap around their body near their "business" and something about it makes them not mark around the house.. they well have to squat like a girl or something.. ask at the petstore.. I only have girl dogs for that reason.. but I'm sure they can tell you more about the band than me =)

It isn't likely to, as, by three years of age, his habits and inclinations are pretty much ingrained.
However, it wwould do no harm to neuter, and there is a SLIM chance it could help.

It doesn't hurt to have him neutered. In fact, I can't imagine why you wouldn't want to have him fixed. It should help with the marking.

Yes it does help. You need to really clean those areas so he cannot smell them. But it does take away the need to claim the entire world as his property.

it will likely help, but you will still need to supervise him and correct him if he starts to lift (at least for a few months, until he really gets it). get him neutered anyway.

i've got self assurance the aggression is coming from him no longer being exact socialized with different canines and persons. this is fixed (in maximum canines a minimum of). start up by taking him to practise training the place he learns to hearken to you and your loved ones ok. by that I mean that he's paying entire interest to you and to no longer issues happening around him, consisting of persons and different animals. as quickly as you have accomplished that, carry him to parks the place there are various strangers and different canines. Have a muzzle on him merely in case. each time he starts appearing out, nicely suited him. provide him numerous compliment whilst he does nicely. interior of time, maximum canines see that different persons and animals are no longer a danger (till they provide off undesirable vibes then any canines will react as a protector). Getting him fixed is a super concept and that i've got heard that it facilitates inspite of the indisputable fact that each and every canines is diverse. solid success!
