What dating and matching system is worth the money, time and energy?

For us normal people in our 40's in Orange County California?

honestly i dont think any are worth paying for --- i was a member (unpaid) of a few of the so called adult sites and i was able to talk and meet a number of ladies without paying --- find a site that has a chat room system you can access for free then get on and talk sensibly with the ladies --- i must admit the room i was using was very friendly and outgoing but that was the Australian room --- most of the others were very snobbish and not much fun --- i shut them all down when i met my lady a drawback is that she is in Europe so there are some problems getting to meet her ---- and im well over 40 ---- best wishes

Not much luck here in the south of Louisiana either. I tried yahoo and match, met a couple of ok guys, but in all honesty, not the greatest pool from which to draw. There always seemed to be some major flaw, and maybe just the older I get the pickier I get, but that is one life lesson that I would not trade for the world. I think the best thing anyone can do is to let people that you trust know that you are in the dating pool and to keep you in their thoughts.

Depends what you want to get out of it, and how willing you are to work with the process.

Match, eHarmony, and Jdate are all very popular and offer good results for many people.

If you don't mind hogging, yahoo personals is a windfall.
I never had so many chubsters after me.
It was quite a wild time for me.
For something real, I don't know. I got lucky elsewhere.
