Acts 15:28-29 "For the holy spirit and we ourselves have favored adding no further burden to YOU, except these necessary things,

29 to keep abstaining from things sacrificed to idols and from blood and from things strangled and from fornication. If YOU carefully keep yourselves from these things, YOU will prosper. Good health to YOU!”

"from blood and from things strangled" why the bible separated if it was talking about the same thing? is not logical...

So no if you give a blood transfusion that is not eating or ingesting blood. You are okay do not be like the Jehovah’s witnesses who grievously misconstrue the bible. Jesus died and his blood was spilled to exonerate us of our heinous transgressions. He who call upon the name of the Lord Jesus and believe shall have his name written in the book of Life and thus saved!!! Jesus was the unblemished sacrificial lamb led to the slaughter and he did so, so we shall not go to hell but we must willingly and freely and voluntarily come to Jesus as it is written:

Revelation 22

17The Spirit and the bride say, "Come!" And let him who hears say, "Come!" Whoever is thirsty, let him come; and whoever wishes, let him take the free gift of the water of life.

And the FREE GIFT OF THE WATER OF LIFE IS…………….JESUS THE CHRIST!!!

May Jesus be with ye!!

While there is not a verse that authorizes the use of blood for medical purposes, the bible is clear in I Corinthians 15:50 that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption. So we know that the blood that is in our bodies today will not be in our eternal bodies. So as we take on the blood of Christ, we do not do so in a literal sense, but figuratively. So to have a transfusion to save a life in no way interferes with ones' eternal state, since this corruptible cannot take on incorruptible.

Try Matthew 12:7.

"But if you had known what this means, 'I DESIRE COMPASSION, AND NOT A SACRIFICE,' you would not have condemned the innocent."

But you have something greater here, Jesus also said. The sacrifices of the old testament were fullfilled in Christ. The blood of Christ is the blood of the perfect sacrifice and is now and forever salvation for all. No other blood is needed. And this blood is from God. It is freely given and not taken. And I wish it weren't true that Jesus was executed, but it is a result of sin. I do not want it, but I must have it because God choose to save me from my sins in this manner.

Regarding the Old Testament practice of animal sacrifice
(unfulfilled since the destruction of the Temple in 70 CE), the writer of Hebrews states:

Hebrews 10:4 -
"For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins."

There isn't one just as there isn't one that authorizes us to use computers, cars, airplanes, et al...

It's talking about dietary restrictions whether you believe it or not.

edit: my friend, when we establish doctrine based on a single text from the bible, we are not following the biblical instruction for finding truth. We are to add text upon text, precept upon precept, here a little and there a little. Your church has established a doctrine that can cost you or a loved one their life and have done it based on a single text. Does this not concern you at all?

No, we should not use another's blood to save our life.

The literal blood of Christ saves no one. The blood that filled his body signifies the things He taught, and the spirit and attitude by which he did all things. As we follow him by doing the things we see him do, with the attitude by which he did them, his “blood” (teachings and manner) saves us, or atones for our sins. In no way does the murder and shedding of Christ’s blood do anything for us. John further verifies this throughout his Revelation.

Christ’s flesh is figurative of his works; and his blood is figurative of his intentions. Though some do what appear to be good works, if their intent is not Christ-like, their works are done in vain. Christ-like intent means that one acts for the sake of another and not for one’s own sake. For example, if one gives to the poor so that one feels better about oneself (the warm and fuzzy feeling), and does not take into consideration the real needs of the recipient, the act is done with a selfish intent, and is vain. “Charity” is usually referred to as Christ-like intent and understanding (his blood).

...We live in this world (a virtual wilderness bereft of the food and drink of life—the truth), and are fed manna from heaven symbolically. If a person does the works of Christ (eats his flesh) with Christ-like intent (drinks his blood), that person will be a candidate for eternal life.

Christ is the One appointed by God to show us how to associate with each other and to assure that we do so properly, so that we will always experience happiness. Thus, it can be said that eternal life is only through this one being, Jesus Christ. It comes because of his message and example; and not because his blood was shed at the hands of evil men who rejected his simple message (as they did to many of the prophets like him). Just as his body (like ours) required blood to exist mortally, so also in this fleshly body he showed us the way to live. This is the power and significance of the body and blood of Christ.

Unless we learn how to properly respond to his message by the way we live, we cannot be resurrected into a physical body that does not die. In other words, if we do not learn to do unto each other what we would have done unto us, then we will not be in compliance with Christ’s teachings; therefore, we cannot be saved (live forever) in one of the mansions of God.

This is a rediculous attempt at grasping for straws!

The Blood of Jesus cleanses us from sin and delivers us from the eternal consequence of sin (ie hell).

Now, explain how getting a blood transfusion compares to this?

I mean, whose trying to get to heaven with a blood transfusion??? Is this just another weak attempt to tear down straw men you create in the vain imagination of your wicked heart?

No, but I want to know if there is one that prohibits the use of blood to save a life.

Do you have a scripture that tells us not to use blood for other people?

This is a sincere question, not a derision of your question.
