I am a subscriber to a few of the on line dating sites and some of the gentlemen want to meet me, how long should I wait before I set up a meeting?

I always chat by email first, then phone, to see how interested in I am. (You really can tell alot by a phone conversation.) Then I will meet after a week or so and only for coffee. Someone once told me to go on your lunch hour or something like that so you have a reason to take off if it's not going well. Have fun & be safe!

when you feel comfortable about him ---- it could be 1 day -- 1 week or never ---- and always meet in a public place for a coffee and see if he is the same in person as on line --- if he is maybe leave time because you may talk all afternoon and then even have a meal later ---- just be sure you keep yourself safe --- best wishes

till u feel that u are ready to step out there and take a chance on meeting someone and if they cant accept that u dont need to give them the time of day

I would say after you had a good amount of conversations w/ them, also you truly feel safe with. When you meet please meet at a place where there are alot of people..

Until you feel comfortable that you "know" them, and then do so in public and maybe with a friend in the car...

Well from the experience i have had i think you should wait at least. till you have no deep negative feelings about him. and you are sure you know enough about him. especially if he can tell you his whole name and birthday honestly.
