Not personally, no. As a committed Christian, I try not to debate whether God is real with committed atheists. Neither of us is going to be convinced by the other's arguments, so it is a waste of both our time! It is better for me to spend my time trying to live my life according to the example that Jesus set.

No physical fights. But i do like to heat thing up. Tonight i am going to a program on psychology. I think it may be more of a book signing. At any rate i am getting ready to prove the person wrong. I blew away some psychologist from the U of M once. But they were easy. They are not to smart at the U of M.

Good question.

No fights. I've had plenty of debates with people with different views. Once the debate was over we went and did fun stuff together. That is what reasonable adults do.

I would never argue with someone I sensed was emotionally immature enough to start swinging.

In my opinion, a well-developed capacity to use language is a very helpful tool in avoiding fistfights. In addition, an understanding the it is absolutely necessary for humans to believe something in order to function leads to a tolerance on my part of diverse viewpoints.

A physical fight over the existence of a supreme being is a rather medieval response.

By the way, the proper spelling is "atheists."

Glad to be of help. Do you know, there are people who actually believe that language is not important?

Good grief. I'm 52 years old. If I can't control my emotional outbursts by this point in life, when will I be able to.

No, I haven't gotten into a physical fight, and I'm more likely to have some pity on someone who is stuck trying to defend something as unsupported by evidence as belief in God than get hot under the collar at them.

I was debating with a Baptist friend once. I got pretty heated after I had presented him with historical proof of the millions slayed in the name of Christianity and he rejected it and told me it was made up and nonsense.

It reminded me of Nazi apologists denying the holocaust.

If a Christian ever physically attacks me, I will fight back. This has not happened yet.

haha no! never! Christians and atheists need to realize that each have different views and you cannot push them on each other, and you must be respectful of each other when debating, and refain from mocking the other's view, or it could lead to violence.
