me and my husband have been together 10 years this year,
i wante to do something nice but he the most unromantic person you would ever meet.. if you are a guy and not very romantic would you like this...

what i am going to do is

leave him an invitation in the morning before we go to work with a 12 pack of beer, it is going to have a little rhyme in it telling him to go watch some sports with his friends after work and be back home by 9 for a suprise. then i got some really glam sexy lingerie, i am my self pampered that day with the hair done and everything!! i am going to meet him at the door all dressed up and inside i am going to create a beautiful ambiance with candles and dinner. i am going to serve him dinner all dressed up, and then we will have champagne and strawberrys and whip cream, and i made a cd of all our songs when we met... then the next morning i scheduled massages for us at a spa.. what do you think

i thought the massage would be nice because his job if very physical and i thought he could use it. i do the best i can but i figured a professional could do it better.

He won't be able to drink the beer since he is going to drive to work. And even if he is going to take public transportation, he can't attend his job being wasted.

If he's so unromantic, don't exaggerate with all the extras that you'd like to prepare. Men don't necessarily require their wives to wear expensive clothing. It just needs to look good, i.e. be tight and revealing ... but I think some lingerie shouldn't be too bad.

Can you be sure that he is going to be back home on time if you provide him with all that beer and encourage him to see his friends? Ask him whether or not he would mind coming home after work. If you let him have a good time with his friends, he might be too tired when he comes back home.

When you meet him, give him a massage. It does not have to be all professional (this time) with special oils and you having read massage books. Just make sure that you will have finished all work which might need to be done, so that he can melt in your arms and you can melt in his.

After that, ask him if he'd like to go to a spa. Nowadays, a lot of guys think that this is only something for gays and wussies ... it doesn't all have to be a surprise. The fact that you would like to make him feel good (either directly or by visiting a spa) is what counts.

Wow...
I don't know, it kind of seems like you're just treating yourself (I don't blame you!)
I'm not sure about the massages, but I think he'd enjoy more for him.
Don't overdo the ambiance and candles.
I'm a girl and I'm not even into that stuff. I much rather just spend time together, maybe have a quaint dinner and some cuddling, haha.
Are you going to eat in the lingerie? Might be a little odd, I'd say wear a dress or something sexy and then surprise him with it afterward.

It does not sound like he would be into this. I am guessing that if you are giving him beer and a note telling him to go watch sports with the guys until 9, he is going to do that and if his friends are like him, they will give him crap for leaving at 9...no matter what the reason as long as it has something to do with his wife.

I am guessing you would have more luck if you offered to do something for him like host some sort of sporting event (super bowl, AFC or NFC championship, NCAA bowl games, etc.) at your house for him and his friends, and then when the game/event was over, you could put on your lingerie and seduce him.

Very nice idea, except I wouldn't give him the 12 pack because he may pass out and not be ready for when the real party starts with you. I would call his friends to give them a heads up on the plan so they can have fun, but get your hubby home sober enough for you.

Good luck.

You been married to him for 10 years and you don't know that he is not into this kind of thing or not. Must be some marriage. Sounds like you should meet him at the door with no clothes on and a can of beer.

I think you have planned the night down to every last detail. If you think it's un-romantic think again. (note, candles, etc)

However with that being said I think you've put a lot of work into the night and your husband would be a sucker not to appreciate the night and all your hard work.

Great job, hopefully he deserves you.

Is this for you or for him? You just said he isn't very romantic. I guess if he likes to be seduced, he'll go for it. I'm not to sure about the next day stuff. I'd have to know him a little more to give you help with that.

Done this before.. sent aBF with his best friend to a car show.. told him to keep him away from alcohol.. it ruins the libido...

They came home drunk and singing , passed out on the floor...

I threw him out , vowed never to date another person who drank.......
Current partners and I do this sort of thing all the time, have a great time....

haha you are really going over the top. Yes he will like it. Mainly the after dinner special though. So dont count on very much appreciation for the dinner and invitation. But my hat is off to you for being creative.
