i've read everywhere about using aspiring as a facial mask because it's like a light hydroxy type. well i dont think it is good to use, i think it ruins the skin texture, makes it thin and you can see scars more?
anybody else have same experience?

Spookychick is right.

Aspirin contains salicylic acid which promotes cell turnover. Initially, developing pimples will come to the surface sooner & as the pores are kept clear fewer pimples will develop. As skin cells slough off, older, darker cells clear away from scars or marks. Eventually, all or most of the darker cells slough off revealing fresh skin.

People who use Retin-A, experience similar things. The advantage of Retin-A is that it promotes collagen production which helps plump up the skin & fill in shallow acne scars.

Never even heard of it. Some products like Retin-A and some of the hydroxies make your skin worse before better. Maybe the case here?
