Sad to say, it seems none of you want a real answer. If I am wrong, let me know. It is something that I have written about, and I no longer call myself a Christian (just for the record).

If that's the case, then I need to ask if YOU are suicidal? After all, you KNOW you're gonna die someday, but you just keep living! You must be "emo" - what ever THAT means!

Your very LIFE is premeditated suicide, based on YOUR definition.

But for Jesus, no - it was premeditated Redemption.

You must BELIEVE that Jesus died for you and acknowledge that your own merits and good works CANNOT save you. You cannot add anything to your salvation. His sacrifice of Himself at the cross is all-sufficient. There is nothing
that you can add.

Because Jesus never sinned, His sacrifice of His own life paid the price for our sins. That is why He is called the Lamb of God. The prophet, John the Baptist, called Jesus the Lamb of God:

John 1:29 The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold
the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.

Christ Jesus died on the Preparation of Passover. He took upon Himself all the
sins of the world and He shed His own blood that we might be saved. He died willingly for us:

John 15:13 Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.

Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

We have all broken God's commandments and for that reason, mankind is lost spiritually. The Bible says that the "wages of sin is death". What is a wage? It is what you earn. We have all sinned and therefore we all have earned death. The Bible says in Ezekiel 18:20, "The soul that sinneth, it shall die." Man has broken God's commandments. Sin separates man from God. The Lord God is holy and cannot have sin in His presence. The Bible tells us that even if a person breaks just one commandment, it is like breaking them all. James 2:10 tells us: "For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all." This means that even if you break one commandment, it is as if you broke them all for you stand guilty before the Holy God. That is God's Holy standard. None of us have kept every commandment. We have broken God's Law. We are all sinners. God’s justice requires that sin receive its full penalty.
The suffering and sacrificial death of the Lord Jesus upon the cross satisfied the requirements of God’s justice. Jesus Christ died for our sins. He suffered the penalty of the Law we had broken. Jesus suffered our punishment-- He took our place.

Jesus wasn't an Emo, but he died for Emo's. He gave up his life so that others can live. Not only that, but he was the one who said he would do it, even before he was born as Jesus.

No greater love can one have, to die for his friend.

Would a soldier who threw himself upon a grenade to save the many around him, be considered a suicide?

Jesus is the ultimate soldier...fighting for you and me.

think of this concept.

you have children, you are not going to prevent them from making mistakes, you let them learn from it ..
one reason why you are confident in letting them mess up, would be...
you are not afraid of their mistakes because you know you can always do something about it.

anyway I believe you should present your questions in a christian group or the likes, house study groups etc rather than posting it here.

No. It was a heroic action. He did not do this to himself. He did nothing for the romans to arrest him. No weapons no army no fighting no slogans

One thing I'll give him Jesus is cool.

Suicide requires a person taking their own life. Jesus didn't do that; He was executed.

when a person commits suicide it is because he is thinking about himself- and the pain that he is in- which of course is not a good remedy- however when Jesus knew that He was going to die- He was not thinking of Himself at all.Total difference
