Your vet has no idea???
How on earth could anyone here know since we don't see the dog and don't have his test results?
You need to press your vet for some results, what has he been doing for the dog, and why hasn't it made any improvement?
Call your vet and tell him what you wrote here - he needs to help you.

How long has this been going on? Can he open his mouth fully? If not it could be eosinophilic myositis. (Dont know if spelling is right) My dog had this. It is an overabundance of T-Cells that causes a lockjaw type problem and they will drool and not eat. If this is something that has happened in the last 24hrs, it could be bloat (torsion). It is where his stomach turns over. It is very deadly and needs to be taken care of ASAP!!!

I know you've spent a lot of money on him but, you have to take him to the vet! There's no telling what's wrong. I'm very familiar with spending tons of money on vet bills .. I just found out my 3 year old German Shepherd needs his hips replaced .... and I've already spent $1500 in vet bills! Good luck!

You need to find another vet....and quickly. this sounds like poison. Could she have gotten into any anti-freeze? But your vet should be able to find that with lab tests. She sounds like she need to be hospitalized. If you are in a large town call your ASPCA they have doctors on staff and might can help you with the cost.
good luck. and don';t wait...your puppy could die from the dehydration alone.

What do you mean 'can't even be bothered to toilet'???? Like, HAS the dog defecated or urinated? Or do you mean it (you don't mention sex) has been eliminating indoors?
Get back to the vet, and allow the vet to perform whatever tests/explorations they see fit, until they can help this poor sick dog of yours.

Take it to another vet for a second opinion. £250 with no answers? Sounds like your being 'ripped off' while your poor dog continues to suffer. If finances are a problem the P.D.S.A are there for such cases. Otherwise please get your dog treated A.S.A.P.

Going to the Vet is the answer. Sorry to say. It sounds to me like it might have parvo. A simple fecal test should answer that for you. If it is and he is that bad I don't have good news for you. It is hard for them to recover if they are really bad.
