stick their noses into other peoples private lives ie gay people, yet get all upset when people have a go at their faith? Shouldn't they just mind their own business and allow people to get on with their lives?

Wild child, I had a lovely day with my daughter, then I watched a programme about Kenneth Williams who repressed his sexuality because of a narrow minded bigoted society that was predominantly christian. The poor man never lived his life to the full because of the twisted thinking of the god bunch. Please don't pressume about y life, you'll only end up looking as stupid as you come across

It is called hypocrisy."Do as I say.Not as I do" is the everlasting motto of mainstream Christianity.Though they wouldn't tell you that.It is ok for them to attack others because that is what they say and so that is ok to do.But it is not ok to do as they do by attacking them.Hypocrisy, plain and simple.

It is important to point out that not all Christians behave this way.Just the ones who speak the loudest.Which covers the majority.

I have never lost one bit of sleep over what a non-believer's thinks about my walk with Jesus. You can curse me all the day, but at the end of the day I will still be God's child praying for you. Sticking our noses into gay affairs? Well, it's dang hard not to when they are so in our face. If you can't take the comments, go back to the closet. I will not cower or bow down to any group of people who blatantly slander my Lord who died a gruesome, vicious death to set them free and all mankind from sin. His love is worth a person's hurt feelings if it leads them to Salvation / freedom. If that is cruel, so be it.

I don't think that they do. The trouble seems to start when gays and their supporters (usually the latter) stick their noses into a Christian's business and try to tell them what they should think.

Christian foster carers bat along quite happily until they are compelled to sign statements that contradict everything they believe in. This sounds like the rest of the world bringing contention to them, not the other way round.

I'm a Christian, but I don't think I "stick my nose" into the private lives of gays.

God has a message for all sinners that he wants me to share. We all have sinned.

I don't get upset when others "have a go" at my faith.

I don't understand your point. If you have a problem with something a specific person does, you would get better results dealing with them directly.

I'm not sure its right to stereotype. Your assuming that all Christians are getting into people's business about being gay (the example you used). Christians are people the same as you with beliefs. I'm sure you have a belief in something, just as we do. Just because someone is a Christian it does not automatically mean that they are going to be jumping on you for your life styles. For instance I am a strong believer in my faith; however, I have quite a few friends that are homosexual. I do not necessarily agree with their lifestyle, but name a friend that agree with ABSOLUTELY everything their friend does. I don't judge nor do I try to make my friends feel bad. That's not my place, its not anyone's place. They are my friends, I am heterosexual and they are not. big deal move on with it.

So please don't label all of us, because your arguing about something that your doing yourself. Sticking your nose in our business and making conclusions about a few of your own personal experiences with some Christians, when there are millions and millions of us who may not react the way your claiming.

I agree to a point, that point being why do Gay Activists come to this site??? I don't go to sites designed for them & stir up trouble, so why do they come here??? I think that we as Christians realize that before anything we say will be effective, the Holy Spirit has a work to do so maybe that's why we don't go to Gay Sites Bashing Anyone!!! Same thing for Atheists Activists coming here, Why??? John

I'd like to ask you not to generalize. Not all Christians go around waving signs that say God Hates Fags. The ones that do have a severely twisted concept of Christianity.

And as for the rest of the question, it's been asked plenty of times. Check the FAQ.

Not ALL Chrisitans do what you are stereotyping them as. All people make mistakes, nobody is perfect, humans are sinful. Some people belive strongly about certain ideas and want to express their concern about it. Christians do care about others though and when you see Christians all over this site, it is because they want to spread the word of God and let others know about the amazing God we have, like I am doing right now. You should not worry about what Christians are doing wrong, but rather worry about your own problems. I am not trying to be snotty or rude, but you should not go accusing all Christians of doing this or being this way, because that is not true. You yourself in this question are doing what you are accusing some Christians of doing.

God bless.

You are right, the lives of others is absolutely none of my business. But i can still tell them that God loves them and tell them i am praying for them if they have a problem. I can still visit them when they are sick in hospital. I can still support them through a relationship break up. I have no right to tell others how to live, but i can be a good supportive friend and be their when they need me.

I expect one set of standards for myself, because I love Jesus. It is wrong for me to impose those standards on someone else. But If they ask me what the bible teaches and are keen to learn i can tell them.

My role towards others is to show love, give respect and be a light shining, so that when they seek God, their is light on the road for them to see Him. I am an ambassador for Christ; not a traffic warden.

Why do non Christians........?
generalize the whole religion of Christianity as nosy and hypocritical?
I believe in God and could really care less where you stick and lick. If you don't believe, that's your choice. But just like you do not want Christians forcing their lifestyle onto you, don't expect them to "bat for the other team" just because you think its right. Everything you are saying is a double standard. You want the right to do, say, love, hate, feel, express yourself however you wish, right? So does everybody else, Christians included.

Yes oh *perfect one*

I don't like anyone sticking their nose into my private life - so i don't do it to anyone else.
I suggest you speak to the person you actually have a problem with - and leave God's people alone.
