That is what they made bicycles, buses, trains and taxis for.

I hardly ever ask anybody to drive me. Only when it is a time the taxis do not run yet.

I am not too young anymore, but I still do not drive.
I rather spend my money on fun things, like holidays abroad.

Depending on what time of the day it is, you can figure other ways to get to a place. During the day in Los Angeles in it very easy to get around because we have such great and well developed transportation system. Even when it's night time there are still many bus lines that can take you many places. If you don't feel safe riding the bus at night then you always have the choice to catch a cab or if you have a friend that drives you can ask for a ride. When I was 13 my dad passed away and my mom didn't want to drive me to his funeral in East L.A. I was very angry and desperate to go so I tried taking the metro but eneded up getting lost. I called my brother, he picked me up and we both left to my fathers funeral. It's possible.

That is exactly what happened to me! About two years ago I worked at a local Albertsons and I was only 15 so I was just a bag girl, but still, work was important to me. I was a really good driver and one day I was called into work really suddenly. I asked my mom first if she could help me drive to work and she told me that she was leaving for a girl scout thing with my little sister. I then ran to my dad and caught him just in time to close the garage door on me. I then ran to the phone and started dialing everyone I could. I gave up after a half an hour and started to walk. I got there more than 30 minutes later and my boss was pissed. She gave me this huge lecture about how I am an irresponible employee and how if this ever happened again she would fire me! I ended up quitting after that day because it was unfair that I was 15 and being yelled at for being late on a day that I wasn't even supposed to work.

I got my first car age 17 and my first motor bike age 16. I passed my driving test age 20. Before that I used to cycle, then hitch hike. I cycled all over western Europe, and hitch hiked all over western Europe, North America and Australia.
