me, too, but i have this horrible urge to text him a bunch or call him, but i don't want to seem too eager. How much contact is too much? We're both 31, and have been out of the dating world for awhile...what's the protocol here?

You definitely don't wanna be blowin up his phone. Don't call or text him TOO much, or you won't have as much stuff to talk about when you actually get together. It's more fun like that anyway. I can't really offer too much in the way of how much is too much, since I don't exactly do the dating/girlfriend thing.

A "semi-date thing" doesn't sound too serious, so you should text him when you like, but keep it light and fun. If you are both coming out of long term relationships, it might be better to take your time about pursuing a new relationship.
