I had this same thing happen to me. I forgave her, but still ended up breaking up with her for some other reason. Maybe the fact that she cheated on me was my indication to end the relationship.

It's all down to personal circumstances. Is it the only time this has happened and were there extenuating circumstances within the existing relationship? Or has there been repeated cheating with multiple partners?
You can't judge another couple's relationship - it's up to them whether or not they feel their relationship is worth saving and working things out for themselves.

If she hadn't broken my trust before and was straight forward and let me know about it, I would give her a second chance. But she would have to work to earn my trust back.

Once a cheater always a cheater. I'd kick her to the curb. If she doesn't respect me enough to end it with me before sleeping with someone else, she doesn't deserve my love or forgiveness.

I tried forgiving one once...and the relationship never fully recovered...so I doubt I would ever stay with someone who cheated. I would forgive them though...just not stay around...

If I really loved her, I would want to figure out what was missing in our relationship that she was looking for elsewhere though.

Trust in the foundation of any relationship. I couldn't trust her anymore, so, we would no longer have a relationship.
